Help me pick a car!
Hey guys. Back again, and I think I have my eyes set on a 2005 Mazda 3 S. With the 2.3L 4 cylinder in it, it comes to $18k standard with automatic transmission(kind of a key feature for me here). Now, $18k is MSRP, and I am going thru http://www.hileymazdahurst.com/ of Hurst, just outside of Ft. Worth. Now here is the thing. Right off the bat I told him I wanted between $250-325 a month for payments. I can put down $1500 cash, so I figured it would help. We never negotiated a price, simply because I can't get the car because my name is on a 1999 Jeep Cherokee note, in which will be taken off as soon as possible(brother is taking over payments on it) because my dad was the co-signer, and can add my brother on the note, and take me off, and after 33 months of NO problem-payments, I can get a new car, just have to be taken off the note. Now, before I left, he told me my payments would be in the mid to high $300's, which is not what I asked for. I did not talk him down on the price, because I wasnt there to do that.....and thats why I am here. I would like to know how much I actually can talk this dealer down on. I can afford $350 a month, but would be better if it was less. I currently pay $260 a month on my jeep. So what do u guys think I can do to get this guy to come down on the price? Your help is much appreciated, and remember, I am 22, and this is my FIRST BRAND NEW CAR, and will be all mine, so help me, dont joke about me please, thanks in advance!
Ok, now, I am not sure if I will buy brand new, or go back to carmax and get a second car, since that is where I bought my 99 Jeep Cherokee. I want to make a list here, rather, id like to make a poll, but have no clue how to, so enlighten me on how to, anyways.
