Public nudity.

Now, before you dismiss this, think about it. If you get busted, you will no longer be bored----you'll have the thrill of a police chase, prison time, etc. That'll get the blood pumping, and you'll have interesting stories to tell (10x points of you do this near a school).

On the other hand, if the ladies like what they see, you'll really not be bored and have AWESOME stories to tell.

So, get unzippin'!

buy a dirt bike
take up smoking pot
start trail running in beautiful outdoor locals
take up drinking fine coffee, wine, whiskey, cognac, etc
volunteer to help others/community in some way
learn to dance well and make a hobby of bagging cougars
create a new style of cooking

Get a gym membership and get in shape, then train for and compete in local events. You'll meet lots of people in the process.

Just started doing this (not the competing part.) Nice idea though. I'm totally out of shape, but I should join a martial arts class when I'm ready. MMA or something.

The events are a good way to introduce you to the various running/cycling clubs that operate in your area. Then when you're good enough to keep up with them you can join them on their regular runs/rides. As an added benefit, the clubs are usually a nearly 50/50 male/female mix, something you probably won't find in an MMA class.

There's no reason you couldn't do both (MMA and running/cycling). They complement each other pretty well.

If you're looking to meet people then avoid activities where people generally keep to themselves. For instance, there are lots of people at the local gym, but most of them don't want to be bothered while they are working out. I suggest:

- Karate/Judo/Tae Kwon Do/etc
- Wine Tasting Club
- Taking cooking classes
- Book Club
- Volunteering for various local programs
- Attending City Council meetings and getting involved in your community, regardless of how small it is
- Get a second job at a place that might not pay too well but is at a place that might be somewhat interesting

First things first, turn off the fucking TV, Shut down the computer, and get outside. Pledge to spend 2 hours a day outside of your home, no matter what you are doing... washing your car, riding a bike, walking, at the library, cutting the grass, reading a book on the front porch, whatever. Commit to it, stick to it, and you'll figure something out soon enough.

Sadly, it cannot be used as proof there there are biological women posters. However, one step at a time.

Clearly you have not yet ventured into L&R. All in good time...

Not for more than a few seconds at a time.

Anyway, my original point applied to ATOT.

what are you doing in the suburbs idiot.

WIN!

Only way I can stay close to work, unfortunately.

Besides, NJ is just one big suburb anyway.

well don't place so much importance on living close to work. What town do you work in.

It's not a bad town.. it's pretty close to the coast and is a lot of fun in the summer. The trouble is, I don't seem to form any lasting friendships... I met a few people last summer, but they left when it was over.

Ideally, I'd like to have a group of regular, local friends that I can do stuff with.
