Help me convince online shop to sell Low Profile 750TI

Would you buy a low-profile 750TI if it were easily available?

  • YES -- I'm definitely (or very likely) to get one!

  • I'd consider it.

  • N/A (poll results, need faster than 750TI, don't need low profile, etc.)

I'm trying to convince a popular online computer shop to sell the Galaxy low profile GTX 750TI which is the only one on the market. Galaxy does sell them off their webpage directly, but to US customers only. 🙁 I figured Newegg selling them would make it easier (and likely cheaper) for all of us! 😉 If I can generate enough interest, I think I can convince them by pointing them to this thread. (Don't worry mods, I don't gain anything for doing this, other than the ability to buy one for myself! I withheld the name of the place in case it seemed like advertising or something...)

If you think you'd buy one if it were available, chime in! 😀

I think the issue at hand was that Galaxy had an issue with their reseller/distributor in the US that is responsible for getting the products out to places like Newegg. Newegg has actually sold Galaxy products in the past, however due to above issue, they do not any longer. In fact, no etailer sells current Galaxy product, they're only selling backlog products that haven't sold up to this point. (prior to Galaxy's reseller issues).

As far as I can tell it isn't a fault of newegg. Galaxy is just selling online via their website. They don't have an agreement in place with a reseller or distributor to my understanding. Whether that changes in the future would depend on Galaxy from what i've read at HardOCP.

Fantastic info, blackened23. Disappointing... but good to know. This may be a wasted effort then... can't blame me for trying. 😉

Yeah, definitely disappointing. Galaxy had some great products in their line-up. The HOF was a hard sell on me initially but I have a bud with one and honestly after seeing it in action, I was completely impressed. And then they're of course the only vendor with a low profile 750ti as well.

Too bad they're not more widely available. We can hope that changes sometime soon, I dunno though.

On the plus side, there should be a few brands of the new Radeon 250X in LP flavour... The new 7770-equivalent is better than the 250's which were slower than the 7750's... It's no 750TI, but it's the best I can get since Galaxy only sells to the USA.

There's a Canadian vendor that sells an off-brand Radeon 7850 LP but it's too power-hungry and expensive.

Hi All, I registered with anandtech forums just so i could respond to this thread! I've been googling the Galaxy GTX 750 low profile for the past week trying to get more info. I'm happy to see there are others out there who want this GPU as much as I do. Kudos to OP. Hopefully this works.

Galaxy's own website is the ONLY place to get this card, and they don't like Canada so we can't get it at all.

Hmm that being said I can't find anyone selling it yet. Hopefully EVGA steps up and offers a low profile card with Displayport in a single slot format.

I'd definitely like to see a low-profile 750TI in Europe. It's perfect for a gaming/HTPC in cases that are limited to low-profile slots...

YES YES YES. If EVGA does that, slaps a decent cooler on it, they just need to shut up and take my money. I DO NOT CARE WHAT IT COSTS... 😎

(I do prefer full-size DisplayPorts, if anyone from EVGA sees this. MicroHDMI is fine) :ninja:

I'd buy a half-height, single-slot 750 or 750ti if I could find one. It's weird because I have a GT430 like that, but I guess the TDP is 6 watts higher, and the maximum temperature 3C lower. 🙁

That card in as small as the galaxy card in term of overall space required in a chassis. The galaxy card may only require one PCI bracket slot but internally it actually requires two pci slot due to the cooler and it look like the width of the card is about the same.

Eff em. I doubt the profit margin is high enough to even bother.if they don't wanna sell me then someone else will. It a free market, if there is demand and profit someone will step in and own that market.

But because it's standard height, it'll never fit in a case like this:

The Zotac looks interesting but it isn't factory overclocked like the Galaxy. At least it may come with the low profile bracket included and shipping under $11.99. Total for Galaxy 750 low profile with shipping and bracket is almost $150. Seems a little high to me.

I don't need the GPU until June (waiting for Pentium Anniversary), I would consider the Zotac but how easy is it to overclock a GPU?

I'd buy one if I had a low profile case... but I don't.

It might come in handy if you wanted to do something like turn an old Dell Optiplex desktop system into a gaming box, though.
