help me build a PC!

[Walleye]

im trying to build an island PC, one that will never have access to the outside world.

it needs these specific components. (at least)

1.5 + ghz processor
80+ gig hard disc
256 mb ddr Ram
CD/RW (reasonable speed)
100+ mb Zip Drive


and it has to be under 500 bucks.

i was thinking about using this as a starting point.

by island i mean it wont have access to any networks, it wont ever see any other PC's. well, maybe when it becomes obsolete, then it'll see all the others in the trashpile. but by then the hd will be burned.

mine is 135. but that's after 3 six packs of jolt cola in 2 hours. so, it's not quite an accurate measurement.

Get an Asus A7N266-VM. Its a Mini-ATX but has onboard video, LAN and sound. That with an Athlon XP should run around $120 maybe? Cruise the Hot Deals forum, you should be able to find a CD-RW for around $20-$30 after rebate. Same goes for the hard drive, you can probably get an 80GB HD probably for no more than $100 after rebate. RAM should run you around $50 from Crucial...

Actually my offical IQ, tested when I was in Kindergarden, is 142 but the online ones i have taken in last year were 137.

found that the SAT chart was fairly accurate also, scored 1440

for file storage that's really not much of an issue. i prefer that it be an intel cause they run cooler.

well, my mommy signed me up for the SAT without my knowledge 😛.

so, after d2ing to 2 am (and kicking ass dueling), i go to sleep. about 6 AM, my mother walks in, and says, "get up, you have the SAT today!"

so i ended up with a 1270. 🙁 that b!tch ruined my college choices/experience. i blame her for ruining my life.

Given that the other chart continues liniarly through to 142 im not really that special 1 out of 156 have same IQ, and if it continues to 136 would be 1 out of 39 people. This suggests an inconsistancy in their charts though, because 1 out of 39 would mean aproximently 2.564% of the population. If you look at the IQ score and correlating percentile chart it says that the same IQ is roughly 1.5%. And actually as we aproch the norm the function should deviate from my continuating parallel asumption and be somethig closer to 3% of population.

i scored a 135 with the "high IQ society" online IQ test, on my first try. really, it was a pretty good test. i took the full thing.

i have the results somewhere. lemme check.

But do you see the Inconsistancy of there own charts? An IQ of 136 should be 1.5% of the population and thus 1 out of 66.66666 people not 1 out of 39 as the last chart would lead us to believe.
