LiveUpdate is trying to use a non-existant dial-up connection.:disgust: How do I configure it (LiveUpdate) to use my broadband connection?

W98se
IE6

<edit/>Deleting the dial-up connection from Internet Options Control Panel solved the issue.😀

Make sure you don't have a fake modem installed...

did you just move from dialup to broadband?

I just did a format and clean install. I have a modem installed as a back up connection.

Ok, in IE6, hit tools, then internet options, then the connections tab. Make sure it says "never dial a connection"

Whats with the cross posting? I just answered this in Operating System's, it certainly doesn't belong in Off Topic. (Let me guess 'Off Topic gets the most readership so I posted it here' 😉)
