I am quite confident that only the power supply is bad
why the hell would you say that?

Yeah, the woman is a fucking moron. The cord isn't the power supply. Replacing the cord won't fix the internal PSU that is likely broken.
Tell her to piss off.
Umm too bad most monitors HAVE EXTERNAL POWER SUPPLIES THAT ARE ATTACHED TO THE CORD.
I would have done the same shit to the OP. You think she really wanted to spend $70 bucks for a god damn paper weight? You put all the monitor information and then put a small ass sentence implying it was an easy fix, seriously wtf do you expect people to do when you do that to them?

But see the problem isn't that she didn't realize the item was broken. The problem is that she thinks a cable == the power supply. She thought she could buy the LCD, replace the power cord, and that would fix it. She's an idiot who didn't do her research and now she's in over her head, she didn't know she'd need to open the unit up and probably replace some capacitors to fix it. Hell, she probably doesn't even know what a capacitor is.
I agree that the auction could have been written better, but the issue here is that this lady knows nothing about electronics and has no business attempting to buy and fix up broken LCDs.
Only people who get caught red handed behave the way you are behaving!
Your description was deceptive and you deserve what trouble comes your way!
Man up and refund her money and smooth things over and ask her to remove her negastive feedback.
It rather stoopid and incriminating that your draining your paypal account and such....
I would never do any buisness with you ever from what I have just read.
man up and refund the damn money!!
Yah, I am young and still learning hopefully 🙂. I did say no returns, which I thought was the same as "as is". I didn't think paypal could do collections because they weren't a real bank I heard. What is a UCC (just looked it up) and the part that concerns me? I don't know what I didn't state clearly, except that I didn't put it in big bold font. I said it didn't turn on, it was for repair, and what the problem was and no returns, you just had to read it since it didn't jump up and say howdy. Even though its not too much money, it is a lot to me since I have no salary.
All this train wreck for a broken soyo, i'd just throw that piece of shit in the trash if i was you. Now don't act like a victim here because your description was bogus and misleading.
Yes the buyer is a tool, but you op just asked for problems from the beginning because you brought it onto yourself. You seem pretty young from the way you act, it won't help removing your bank links because paypal will send you to collections. Sure you can play the cat and mouse game but is not worth it for a piece of shit soyo.
Next time read the UCC or the parts that concerns you. You need to state "as is" and all the terms clearly and precisly, and no 1 paragrapah is not enough honestly IMHO you wasn't dealing in good faith.
wut. Why? Is he supposed to give a long story detailing every moment of love, joy, and sadness that he has experienced with the monitor?
I do agree that the way eBay presents the item description it seems off. The old way, eBay used to present the seller's typed description and then list the specs at the very end. Now eBay throws the specs first, with the seller's description at the bottom, looking like a small afterthought. IMO seller was careless and didn't take note of what this may suggest. Next time don't display eBay's description and instead list the specs in the seller description area after your description/terms. And of course for items that do not work be very clear.
In my listings I just type a short description ("Up for sale is x. It is in y condition. Here are pics.") and my terms of the sale ("Accept paypal only, ship to CONUS only, blah blah blah") then list the specs at the end. Done. No need for anything else. Oh, please note that I don't actually put "CONUS," but clearly say Continental United States Only because tis eBay. Of course I still get international bids.
