I called Apple, and was told since its out of warrenty, Leopard would cost 129 for a new disc and recovery discs with Tiger is 40. Why does Apple crap on there out of warrenty owners.

I don't understand the issue with Apple support? You're out of warranty which means that you have to pay for service. That's the whole point of being out of warranty. It's the same with Dell, HP, Sony, etc... They're basically charging you the retail price of those discs.. is there something else I'm missing?

My problem is the person told first that she could do nothing at all. I had to ask about restore disk at first she told me they were not available. I had to keep fussing just to get her to look it up. 40 for a set of recovery disk with tiger on it. I can go get Leopard new from campus computer store for 80. I just feel like instead trying to help, I was being blown off. She did not even try to give me any options.

I have a retail copy of Leopard. The disc is scratched, i asked about a replacement disk. Even windows will send you a new disk for 10bucks and the old disk. A

Ok.. that makes sense, and that is very valid. It sounded like you didn't have Leopard and were trying to get a copy for free.

If you already purchased the OS, I would try and download it via a torrent. I know that isn't the most legal way to go, but if Apple is going to charge you the full retail price, then I don't see another way, personally.

Ok, someone was nice enough to burn me a copy of Leopard. I had to use Target disk to install it. I now have windows xp and Leopard on it. Superdrive read dvds sometimes, mostly not. It is the only issue. I even have the demo for Fusion on it right now. I have to take it to a Mac shop, I think I have a bad battery, and it maybe covered. In system profile, the battery condition is check battery.
