HELP! Bootcamp killed my macbook

I can only get Windows to install on my Macbook. All other Mac os form 10.3-10.5 it just spits out the disc. I got it from a guy on ebay with leopard on it. I tried to use bootcamp to install windows. The windows install would not work so I tried to go back to 10.5. It would not boot into 10.5. No it spits out disc and claims it can't find boot disc. But it will install linux or windows. I have reset pram. Is there a way to reset the efi? What do I do?

Nope that's correct.

Is this laptop out of warranty? I take it you wouldn't be going to this trouble if it was in warranty.

Yes it is. I don't know what to next. It only like windows xp. Any windows disk will boot and run. No mac disk will work.

Are you using a Leopard retail disc to format? Do you have another SATA notebook drive laying around that you can throw in there to test?

I have tried 2 tiger and a leopard retail disc. I don't have another drive. I am tempted to go out and buy one from Circut city.

Out of curiosity, the discs that you are trying for Tiger/Leopard are DVD's and the Windows XP Install disc is a CD, correct?

I've seen some laptop DVD-ROM drives refuse to read DVD's, but continue to read CD's just fine. When in Windows, can you put something on a DVD, like a game, in the drive and it reads fine?

Well tried a low level format on it and it failed. I got a new drive. The 10.4 disc won't boot, Leopard it spits out and the original Macbook disc it spits out. Is there anywhere I can get Leopard on cd?

You can buy it at the Apple Store.

I don't see it on the website. Can you send me a link? There is no Apple store here. I don't think this Macbook will read dvds. I am just going to put winxp on and call it a day.

What happens if I put my macbook hd in a Mac pro and use the pro recovery disk. Then put it back in the macbook?

Woah, you have a Mac Pro?

Go buy a firewire cable and follow these instructions:
http://lowendmac.com/misc/06/0710.html

Did you verify in the windows partition that it wasn't reading DVD's?

EDIT Cliffs:
1) Put your macbook in target disk mode (hold T during boot up until you see the firewire log)
2) Hook a firewire cable up to the mac pro and boot the mac pro off the leopard install dvd
3)use the disk utility in the leopard setup to completely delete all partitions off your notebook hard drive and create a new one.
4) in the leopard setup, tell os x to install to the firewire drive.

It will make it easier if you disconnect the hard drive in the mac pro first though.

Do you not have the original recovery discs for the Macbook? It sounds to me like it's a model from after Leopard was released, meaning that a retail Leopard disc won't work and something newer (like the original recovery software) is needed.

Funny wrinkle. I can use transmac to view files on the tiger dvd from windows. Leopard it spits out. But neither will boot. Any ideas why?
