I can't imagine any of these people being head chef at a place in the Borgata. This show has to be just for cash and an interview.
Next week should be good. Don't they usually merge the teams? Hopefully that will happen soon. I'm tired of watching Fox let the red team win just to keep it semi evened up.

Was Andrea actually the one who undercooked the pasta?? Or was it really Carol?? I couldn't tell. I tend to think it was Andrea because Carol is better looking.

Andrea has screwed up way more than Carol but Andrea carries herself much better than Carol does, especially to Ramsay.
Carol obviously feels threatened by Andrea and I think she will crack soon.
Andrea is so arrogant. She is very condescending - much like Ben has been.
Ben got put into his place by Ramsay, though. Maybe Andrea will be next.
It was pretty funny how in the bar mitzvah episode Ben was all like - Hey I'm Jewish - My people this, My people that - and the kid ended up picking the other brisket during the first challenge.
Nobody cared that he was Jewish - especially the kid!
One more question - did Ramsay tell J to pack up and go? I was a bit surprised to see him actually pack up and go. I thought when he kicks you out of the kitchen - you just go back to the suite.

i used to enjoy hells kitchen.
But after watching top chef, it kind of sucks. The "chefs" are so bad its not even funny.

Not gonna read anything past yesterday but this is an awesome show. I'm also addicted to the iPod/iPhone app. Gotta catch up on last night's though. Glad that the scam teacher is gone though.

J was a crap chef though. Ramsay goes after the better ones to see who can handle the pressure because that's what he ultimately requires from the winner, so he pushes them hard. I understand that the tendency is to think that the best cook of the group should be the winner but what Ramsay really wants is the combination of a good chef with the best leadership/decision-making skills. While cooking skills are important a head chef, more importantly, needs to be able to control and lead the kitchen.
Right now the person with the best overall skills is looking to be Giovanni. Danny may also rise up eventually, but he's currently keeping a low profile and while he might have some leadership skills I'm not sure he'd be a good leader if he tried.
semi-OT - Danny runs a restaurant about an hour away from me that's fairly highly regarded. In a couple of weeks the wife and I are going to head over to try it out.

I felt the same way last season but for some reason I couldn't watch Top Chef without feeling the urge to watch Hell's kitchen and simply gave up on this season of Top Chef since the first couple episodes did nothing for me and this was after watching the past 2 seasons.
