Off the top of my head, she won the one where she was best at identifying various foods, and she won when she had to recognize the ingredients in Gordon's dish and replicate it (though I guess you're implying she had read it in his book, certainly a possibility, but it didn't look that way to me at the time). Neither of those are subjective challenges.

In watching the episode, her restaurant looks much nicer to me than Heather's. I think Heather's is just weird. I think if Virginia hadn't chosen such a crappy team, she would be the likely winner tonight.

That wouldn't be a big shock. She was really hamstrung in picking her team, since two of the best potential team members (Sarah and Keith) dislike her, and another decent competitor, Rachel, also preferred Heather.

Yeah, if K-Grease weren't determined to ruin Virginia, she could win. I mean, he was one of the last ones eliminated.

Virginia has definitely lost.

Yea, i was talking about Gordon's recipe, so she "won" one with 3 outta 4--hardly a challenge. Now, how many did she "win" by flirting with "tasters", how many times did she avoid getting cut because she was shaking her money maker at Gordon? I hardly think a salad maker would have a refined palate. Just MHO, but i guess she is just playing a game. Gordon's mistake...

I suspect Don Vito has a hard-on for Virginia too! ;)

I honestly don't think ANYONE on this show deserves the grand prize. I certainly don't think Virginia has the credentials. That being said, it looks to me as though, from a sheer kitchen-creativity standpoint, she either matches or beats Heather. As I said above, I really can't see that she knows how to manage people, and it's a bad idea to give either of them this huge restaurant to run, but I think she could quite likely create a more interesting restaurant.

K-Grease is the man. He might act like a tool, but the dude is hilarious.

Tom, on the other hand, is a goofy mofo. I work with a dude who is JUST like him too, lol.

Sound logic for the most part. I cant argue with that.

It all depends on who the Executive Chef is, to be honest.

I do like her. I think she'll be a great Exec Chef and since the pressure of the competition is off, she won't be such a bitch in the kitchen.

Yep I agree. I think anyone would've been bitchy with what she had on the line :p

Question though- Does she actually own the restaurant, or is it still the property of Red Rock?

No way she owns it, she's just Executive Chef.

I have a hard time believing that Red Rock would turn over complete ownership. More likely, she'll just run the kitchen itself. Handle personnel, ordering, menus, etc.

She was totally incompetent when it came to running a restaurant. She couldn't handle her cooks at all. It was a complete disaster at times. Not to mention her cooking. She just could not handle the pressure at all. She could make a dish well sometimes, but when she's on that line... no way.

She was competing for a job as "Executive Chef", not modelling. Heather and Virginia are both rather attractive, but I'd have to give the slight edge to Heather. ;)
