I recently scratched my windows 2000 professional CD, and cant do installations with it anymore, hits 17% then says it cant find files on the CD.
Alas i have a backup of the CD that isnt bootable, and i cant figure out how to get it to boot to the CD, if i use boot disks, it asks me for the service pack 1 cd (wtf?) which i dont have. If i use a Windows 95/98/98se boot disk, it simply tells me that setup cannot be run in dos mode. Is there a version of dos that will run it? or is there any way i can do this without getting another win2k pro disk, im not about to fork out $70 for a new win2k CD. Please helllp! thanks in advance -Acanthus-
