i'm sitting on the windless side of one of the highest dunes in the united states. currently in the mojave desert. i climbed up here, managed to miss the sunset and kill one of my lenses along the way from sand exposure (sigma 100-300mm). i have water, my camera stuff, a star chart, my sleeping bag, and I'm posting on my mogul via sprint. it's getting dark and it's gonna get cold later on. but man, is this a unique place to hunker down for the night.

fbb, how the fuck do you finance all these trips. And I am quite jealous because you're doing exactly what I want - travel solo. Must be quite a liberating experience sleeping under the stars. You should start a blog of all your travels

I can't stand the thought of doing stuff like that without someone with me. Whats the point?
I don't care about the moment myself, I just like to share it I guess.
