Why? He was outrushed by several other running backs in the country (He is placed #28 in running back rushing stats, btw.)

His kickoff return stats, while nice, didn't even put him in the top 40 of kickoff returners in the country, and his punt return stats placed him #29 in punt returners.

While Spiller had a very good senior season, his rushing yardage total was his highest this year of his four year rushing career, his output was eclipsed by a lot of other running backs.

All purpose yards.

As for your stats on kickoffs and punts, do you have any clue why his stats aren't the top? Did you WATCH any game in the second half of the season where Spiller played this year?

No one kicked the ball to him. How is he supposed to get yards on returns when no one will kick to him. Teams learned that if you kick to Spiller, he will break at least one every game.

Now it wasn't all bad for Clemson because we typically got the ball around the 40 yard line.

All that and he still had HUGE numbers in all purpose yards. On top of the fact that he had turf toe the entire season. just FYI, turf toe keeps most RBs and WRs in the NFL out for at least a month. He ran through the pain.
