there is so much singular talent in the NFL I am not surprised. Basically, heisman winners are people who are the front-men of a phenonemal sports program, or the solid base of it. Since QB's are essential in this pass/run/option/sneak offense instead of the old goal line brute force, they almost always are in best position to win.

he absolutely deserved to be there.

Why? He was outrushed by several other running backs in the country (He is placed #28 in running back rushing stats, btw.)

His kickoff return stats, while nice, didn't even put him in the top 40 of kickoff returners in the country, and his punt return stats placed him #29 in punt returners.

While Spiller had a very good senior season, his rushing yardage total was his highest this year of his four year rushing career, his output was eclipsed by a lot of other running backs.

my votes

1. Gerhart
2. Ingram
3. Suh

It'll be a travesty if McCoy or Tebow wins after having seasons of declining performance (particularly considering they both failed to have impressive last games, Tebow in particular, as his team lost and thus lost a shot at another NCG)

just give it to ingram and be done with it. if Suh had a better surrounding cast offensively that got his team more wins he could have run away with it this year.

has there ever been a heisman winner who really excelled in the nfl?

This is a joke right?

Doak Walker
Roger Staubach
Earl Cambell
Barry Sanders
OJ
Dorsett
Marcus Allen
Reggie Bush
Phenom Bo Jackson before he got hurt

I think Gerhardt deserves it being a senior most yds most TD etc - but Ingram will be better in pros. Next year.

Seriously big thumbs down to that. The BCS was already sure to get their two sweetheart teams in the champ. My only glimmer of hope is that Tebow gets it and then gets embarrassed by Cincy.

Eddie george should be on there also.

Isn't Ingram a Sophomore? I thought he had 1 more year left before he could go to the pros.

Suh is the most dominating defensive player college football has seen in quite a while. He will be the #1 pick in the NFL draft. His team did not win enough games though, so he will be overlooked by many.
