The owner of the business where I work just died a few weeks back, and he had this old rig sitting up on his property that I was eyeing for quite awhile. It used to belong to a native American that was I guess kind of a old hippy type, and a fiddler. As I understand he drove this thing all over tho country, took it to some big gathering at "Wounded Knee" and I guess he was a running buddy with Ken Kessey (SP) who also lived here in Eugene Or. At any rate I guess it has quite a bit of history attached to it.
So anyway his kid's have sold his property and want all these old rigs he was holding onto hauled off, and they said if I wanted it I could have it!!
This is what it looks like. Though it really looks better than the "broken down" one shown.
It's got a V-6 auto. NO dents OR rusted out spots! I can STAND UP in it, which is REAL cool. The only real down side is it's right hand drive.
It's got a platform like thingy built off the back that sticks out maybe 3 feet. and is as wide as the rig.
I was thinking about doing a "Jack Of All Trade's" kinda business when the shop closed down, which may be fairly soon. Computer repair maybe. But this would be GREAT for maybe a Mobile Bike repair business (The Bike Business is what I do now).. or hell the possibilities are WIDE open. And with a rig like this, you couldn't NOT BE SEEN in it. So GREAT advertisement for any kind of work!!!
What do you think??
Here are some Pic's I took today (Sat. 16th) while getting ready to haul it out of the woods.
Thanks Crab453 for hosting them!
