^ I think he means "King" as in "King of Rock" or other titles given posthumously

Peace

Would you be going with friends? If so just talk for an hour, it's easy. If you're going alone then I can see why that might get old.

I normally go alone, but I did ask my friend if he wanted to go. Now the thing is to see if he actually will get to go (one of the joys about not being married 😛). I'd normally just mess with my phone or something, but if I go to AMC, my phone doesn't work there and the Tilt is a bitch and a half when it comes to reconnecting to a mobile network after it's been unable to connect for awhile. Takes about 10 minutes to finally find my network again ~_~.

It is without question the best performance of his career and far and away the best villain from any of the movie incarnations to date.

His Joker is a lot different than Nicholson's, in a crazy menacing sort of way. The character fits perfectly with the darker theme of the new films.

I'd have no objection to him winning a posthumous Oscar for his work in Dark Knight.

^^ pretty much sums up my thoughts.

Probably should've won it for Brokeback, but PSH was just too good as Capote.

Oooohh yeah, he was great. I don't think Ledger even got nominated that year though did he?

It would be awesome if Christian Bale comes on the stage in full batman costume to accept the award on Ledger's behalf.

he'll be nominated for sure.

Yea but how much is due to acting vs his death.

How many people are kings/great/etc... just because they died at the right time?

How can you be a king because you died at the right time??

Kink of rock&Roll.

If Elvis had not died he would not be so thought of where he was going. King of Rock and Roll was a name the record company gave elvis to sell records. Others have been called that but because of his death it was pretty much given he would be the one to hold that title per say.

Remember Terminator?

That was awesome.

Did Christian Bale comes on the stage in full batman costume to accept the award on the Terminator's behalf?

Its insane to say that he is being nominated only, or even mostly because of his death. From every indication we have, his performance looks to be very good. He likely deserved a nomination anyhow.

Deserve it or not, he probably wouldn't have gotten one if he hadn't died.

it's funny, when they first announced he was doing the part, almost everyone frowned on the decision. but there is no question from the trailers that he nailed the part.
