Since it's starting to get a bit chilly and I wouldn't want to deal with bursting pipes and damage to my house from internal icing, I'd have to go with heat. Now, if I lived in an apartment, or rented my house, then I'd say internet :)

This thread makes me want to move somewhere warm. :(

With the way the temperatures have been here lately this is like choosing between life or entertainment.

right now, in my specific apartment? internet.

the lady who lives above me is 90 and keeps her thermostat set way high (and still walks around bundled up). my apartment is also right above the furnace.

I have the radiators turned shut in every room but the bathroom and a window open and that just barely makes it tolerable (I'm still only sleeping under 1 blanket, when ordinarily I'd love to be under 2-3)

I don't even need to turn my heat on, my computers keep my apartment warm when it's -20°C outside.

I'd go for internet, because 1) I hate being un-entertained more than I hate being cold, and 2) there are ways to optimize things so you stay moderately comfortable even without the main heaters on.

On a side note, this plus this plus filtered waste oil from restaurants = functionally free, if a bit smelly, heat generation.

I voted internet since I use it as a source of income. My wife however would demand heat.

internet

blankets and fire are acceptable alternatives to heat.
