Yeah, I need to update most of my decks and make a few competitive ones again. I play mostly just for fun now, so I like seeing if I can simply get certain combo's out (not how viable they are to play in a competitive arrangement since most of them cause the decks to have severe vulnerabilities/limitations). I think my only viable competitive deck is probably my non-wild mage deck, but that has some gaps still and requires at least a reasonable draw (a couple 1 or 2mana cards).

Levelling a new account to 20 right now... it's pretty fast since all the heroes already start at level 1 (edit: once you unlock them)

Hate this brawl, is like I'm playing my yogg deck against another. They keep getting good beneficial spells and I'm getting marginal crap. Nothing like killing my own guys and he's pulls out avenging wrath on turn 3.

Didn't like it either.
You might be very ahead on the board, but one lucky/unlucky spell (like "Doom") and bye bye your advantage.

If I get the 5 tavern games quest... I'll save it for next week.

Had a hunter Pyro me on turn 3. Next game I Pyro my minion on turn 5. If only 1/3 of the spells were in my benefit that would be nice.

I've never seen the point of playing more than one tavern brawl per week.

I do it sometimes to finish quests fast if the tavern brawl allows fast wins/losses.

Btw, loving the new play with friend quest. 80 gold is a decent amount. More importantly it'll bring the average quest value up. I'll need to calculate but depending upon recently finished quests (they don't reappear for a certain days), it might be better now to reroll the 50 gold quests sometimes.

Invited a friend to a tavern brawl but we had to switch to play mode to finish the quest. Another guy I added a while back basically for the purpose of spectating had the quest and invited me. 160 gold for playing 10 minutes of hearthstone is pretty good.

I'm not familiar with the new play with friend quest. Can you describe the objective please?

Edit: Never mind. Oddly enough, I just drew it this morning. The way the quest text is written, I'd imagine you simply have to play a match against a friend. Insanely easy gold. This will take over my most desired quest draw, replacing 100g for 7 any wins.

Edit 2: It's important to note that the player with the quest must sent the challenge when playing against a friend to complete the quest.

Opened the last five of my GvG packs, picked up a Golden Clockwork Giant and Golden Fel Reaver. I did this because I have the dust now to finish off my GvG collection and I didn't want to craft cards when I had GvG packs laying around.

Haven't ranked at all this month, good thing it's the weekend. Will try to rank with a control deck today, post my results later.

Uggh two weeks... I liked the LoE announcement and release interval much better 🙂

I go from new adventure to new expansion, all the while saving gold, so I'm ready no matter what. I literally only spend gold on each wing of an adventure or buying packs at the launch of an expansion, with an arena run thrown in here and there when I get the itch.

At this point I feel like I'm really only completing the quests every few days out of some twisted sense of obligation to a friend I got into Hearthstone... He spent several hundred (US dollars) on packs in his first few months. How could I abandon him after he's invested so much? D:

Lol. I've actually spent a lot of money on Hearthstone myself even though I don't play as much as I used to. I think I probably played the most when LoE was released. Basically I do the tavern brawl and try to finish all the quests each week and then ladder the last 1-2 days of the month. I find Hearthstone fun still but only in small doses.

I haven't gotten anyone to try Hearthstone... I play on EU so it'd be stupid since I couldn't play with my friends here anyways.

Some weird stuff with animated armor. The Stormwind AI is dumb and often ignores it, smacking you for 1 damage at a time. But the game ended anyway when I still had life after I did around 43 damage to it.

Yeah. So did it again, I had 11 hp, stormwind hit me with a minion with 14 power, would have killed me but animated armor prevents all but 1 damage, game ends anyway.

Slightly annoying.

How to finish the 5 Brawl Wins quest in less than 5 minutes:

Step 1: Pick warrior.
Step 2: Put Cursed Blade and enrage effects in deck.
Step 3: Mulligan for said cards.
Step 4: Equip Cursed blade and enrage the enemy minions.

Edit: My hi-score so far is in the millions, I'm going for billion+ when I get the time to play in a long enough session.
