This is the reason it will be awhile before I ever get one. I rarely watch TV as it is. Sure it would look cool to see the Discovery channel and stuff in HD, but if I never watched the show before, it's not like I'm going to suddenly become interested just because the resolution is higher.

I'll probably wait until HD-DVD/blu-ray become mainstream and then bite. I do watch enough movies that having HD would be worth it.

this is because you havent tried it yet, i watch so many nature shows now that i would never watch before because the places are so beautiful

I dunno I never watch any channel that is not HD any more if that answers your question. Let's just say that I am not amazed when I look at my TV anymore, however when I have company over that has never really seen it in a home they get the same thrill I did when I first watched a Discovery HD show.

Yep. I never watched travel or nature shows before I got HD. Now I watch them all the time even though I've had HD for over a year.

About four months now. Nowhere even remotely approaching bored with it, still amazes me (and blows the family's mind) at the details popping out of shows like CSI.

And then, of course, there's the HD pr0n. ;)

Discovery HD has a show about polar bears, filmed by a Japanese filmmaker that is absolutely, breath taking.
