I am a bit confused why you wouldn't watch that D'addario scene with your wife. Is she against you, even casually, seeing any other boobs? I'd hate to have her watch Game of Thrones with you. =(
I was wondering about this too. That's a bit much if you are afraid to watch a show that has some boob in it in front of your wife.

Tonight's episode had should have been longer! All that build up and to have to wait a week!

I am really liking this show still. I'm hooked.

Even worse...you need to wait 2 weeks. From what I've read, a new episode will not air next week due to basically everyone watching the Super Bowl.

The dialogue plus the image of the guy with the machete was extremely effective. My wife had trouble sleeping after we watched it.

I guess I missed more than a thought I did when watching this the other night. I know I dozed off a few times, was planning to rewatch it anyway, but I am not familiar with any of the stuff you guys are talking about...

Nice to see the story is going places now. Definitely an intense episode. Didn't realize that was all a continuous shot at the end either.

Yeah, that was great.
I thought it was interesting and surprising that both Woody and McConaughey were, 17 years later, still sticking with the fiction that McConaughey had taken a leave of absence, rather than admitting their off-book investigation in Texas, but once McConaughey stole all that coke and some people died in the robbery he was involved in as an undercover, it made sense. No statute of limitations on murder, and he could potentially get the death penalty for his involvement in that.
Things are shaping up for a much faster-paced second half to the series.

what was the point of the biker robbery escapade, besides getting money / drugs? and who was that ginger guy?

ledoux only cooks for the iron crusaders -> cohle's contact in the gang = ginger

cohle planned to get ginger alone and kidnap him but by bad timing ginger needed another hand on the stash house robbery - so ginger says you help me on this job i'll help you out (made up deal to get info on ledoux)

the problem is with all the flashback stuff. who cares about stuff that happened 17 years ago.

i'm not sure what kind of big payoff they are leading up to. if it's just to reveal who the serial killer is, that would be disappointing.

Seems like you're pretty comprehensively missing the point.

My god this show is so good...

I have a feeling if they try it with different actors for another season it just won't be the same. McConaughey and Harrelson are amazing together in this show.

don't get me started on those 2 black detectives that just sit there. seems like they are just phoning in their performances.

They seem like realistic employees to me - and it's fine for the drama as the star plays off of them. I have no complaints with them at all so far.

They are interviewing the two to back up records and, from the line of questioning, whether McConaughey should be a suspect in the new body. And since, IIRC, they interviewed Harrelson first, when they got to McConaughey he already knew about the next victim.

Both main characters are written and acting so well. I really am enjoying this show. I just wish they wouldn't cut them at such suspenseful times.
