Did not see that coming. Can't believe she is in Percy Jackson.

arrested the wrong person OR had a copy cat.

But they also said almost all of the details were sealed, which raised the question "how did anybody know about the first one, or the details in which it was performed"? Basically, the first murder was a secret (murder was known, details were not) so how did someone pull off such a similar murder without having been involved with the first one?

Im betting its a religious group at work. Not one single person.

Yup. Saw it. Couldn't figure out what the heck it was doing there though.

Owls are a common symbol used by many secret societies. Can often be seen along side the eye of horus. Reference to wisdom/knowledge/all seeing/power. Hence the saying "wise old owl".
Example: American one dollar bill

Also, look closely at the photo at the hookers mothers house. Were they wearing witch hats??

I took those to be Klan hoods, but come to think of it I don't think they were white . . .

I totally saw it coming in the first ep, when she flirted with Woody's character combined with it being an HBO series.

Simply amazing.

Oh totally saw that coming from the 1st episode when Woody got all flustered with her being around. I did not realize that she is from Percy Jackson. I did not think the girl from Percy was all that hot. I now stand corrected.

This show is moving slower than an old lady with a walker. I am so spoiled by Breaking Bad.

It was pretty good and I noticed one of those new black detectives was the bow tie wearing guy from The Wire

I think you meant the preacher that they interviewed at his church, during the flashbacks. --You mean the bowtie guy in the Wire, also the guy that made little pieces of furniture for his doll houses? He played the preacher in this.

Anyway, first episode was pretty good, will watch the second one soon.

both-
lester freamon (detective) in the wire -> preacher in true detective
brother mouzone (nation of islam lookin hitman) in the wire -> (present day?) guy questioning them

Holy huge titties, batman!!!

When I first saw her, clothed, in ep 2, I thought, "Hmmm, they must have outfitted her in an extremely sheer bra. Excellent effect!" Then she took her top off.

They were real, and they were SPECTACULAR! :p

Holy get a razor Batman.

They have to do that, in order to get past the censors. If she was...bare (or trim)...they wouldn't have allowed it. Then again, HBO shows Katie Morgan and Real Sex all the time.

Yep and I'm savoring every scene line by delicious line... just like I savor each sip of an aged single malt. Granted it's not everyone's cup of tea but the dialog and character development hit me right in my wheelhouse.

If you look beyond A.D.'s bodacious tatas you'll see the vacant, crumbling buildings and their desperate inhabitants flanked by lush southwest Louisiana bayous. Expert cinematography so visceral it carries me back to the days I rode to work on my Harley through Abbeville then Erath, a bandana covering my nose and mouth so I wouldn't choke on the smoke from the burning cane fields, and then down to ICY .

Yep. Everything about it is superb so far. Macguhaangahey's droning aphorisms are at that perfect level between precise, necessary and overwrought.

My wife just calls McConaughey's performance "creepy". :)
