Having a kegger soon... Best way to keep beer cold?

I'm going to be having a two-keg party for thirty of my closest friends. Obviously, I need to keep the beer cold and I was thinking of putting the kegs in garbage bins and dumping in ice. Any better suggestions?

That's what everyone around here usually does.

they sell tubs and ice for this kind of thing.

make sure you have plenty of ice.

oh - and with only 30 people you're gonna be hitting that second keg until tuesday. you're gonna need plenty of ice.

No need for garbage bins.... You can do garbage bag also...
If you're gonna have the keggers at the beach... dig a big hole. 😛

Yup.. just find a big container - put the keg in, and cover it with ice.

I'm not sure of 30 people will be able to finish 2 kegs....

I went to one keg party where they had a huge snowdrift in the backyard....in June. They got truckloads of snow from the University skating rink in town.

Are you guys serious? Garbage cans, yuck

Yuck? You can buy one for $10 from target. It's not like the beer is actually floating in the plastic tub. It's inside the freaking metal keg.

It would take 30 people drinking til tuesday to kill a keg? Either you are going to some lame parties or you guys are doing beer out of shotglasses...

C'mon Spidey I'm sure you party hardier than that.

Brand new, never used ones, fool.

Even if it was used, it's STILL not like you just took 30 gallons of beer and dumped it in there. It's still in the keg.

I'll have the OP post the results.

he said TWO kegs. one will be done the night of the party, and maybe they'll touch the other one.

from there it becomes a "we gotta drink the keg, we paid for it" weekend.

not that its a bad thing. 😉

oh - Houch?
