Have you tried sleeping with a Nicorette patch on?

Yeah, I had very vivid dreams when I used those a few years ago.

First night I got my ass kicked by a fast running demon who caught me while running through really deep snow and he was taking huge swings at me..I was ragdolling all over the place, but didn't die.

The subsequent dreams were much more chill, colorful and serene. Kept at it for a while with the patches, and figured I'd probably go insane if I continued.

I have heard numerous horror stories about it... no personal experience, I went cold turkey.

I was smart enough to never start smoking.

So no, I have never tried to sleep with a nicorette patch.

This. They were nightmarish though. Like flesh falling off intense.

Still better than the 18 months I was addicted to nicotine gum. Talk about a monkey on your gums.

Yes, I generally "read the labels" and immediatly disregard them......however, i found that wearing the patch while sleeping WILL increase dreaming AND I even had a few nightmares.......I didn't really mind, as I usually never remember what I dream...with the patch I did

Try it with Ambien, holy fuck. 99.99% of the time I don't remember my dreams just the fact that I was dreaming. Sometimes I woke up and just thought, damn that was fucked up. The patch + Ambien = a big no no in my book.

Ambien is scary. I've woken up with an empty bottle which either means I flushed them or ate 7. I switched to Lunesta after going down the stairs and waking up the next day with rug burn on my leg.

Been using patch since hospitalized on 5/20. Yes, crazy dreams at times but could be due to any number of meds.

More concerned about the habit side of things kicking up once I'm released but think I'll be ok. Quit for 5 years after last surgery back in '99. Now if I can just get the wife to quit without us killing each other...

Well, if you think that falling asleep with a Nicorette patch is trippy, try smoking instead. I hear that can get really hot.

Also, holy shit on ambien. I had a family member accidentally take two ambien before going to walmart as they got their Rx bottles mixed up. Our family got a call that this person was delerious and we were to come get them. By the time we did, they were tripping balls and talking about purple elephants...or something. It was really incoherent by that point.

I've never understood how people have so many problems with Ambien. My doctor gave it to me after my knee surgery. Didn't go a damned thing for me. Lunesta is worthless for me as well. All I get out of those is a nasty metallic taste in my mouth the next day.
Neither of them help me sleep. For that matter, oxycontin and vicodan don't help me sleep either...although they do make me groggy and stupid. (I have to take vicodan with benadryl...I'm allergic to the stuff) <shrug>

My brother said it gave him really intense dreams. He gave me a patch to try it and all it did was make me extremely sick. I was throwing up and I felt dizzy and confused.

Ambien helps me fall asleep initially, but I"ll wake up 3-4 hours afterwards although I can usually fall asleep again. Vicodin doesn't help me sleep either if anything I tend to feel a little wired after taking it.

I want to try it now. I wonder how the nicotine would affect me since I never really smoked on a regular basis.

Make sure you buy the SMALLEST patch available. They come in steps so smokers can gradually reduce the amount. If you use the first step (largest) one, you'll get brutally sick.

Whan I quit the last time...I was hard-core...I left the patches on for two days.
Put patch one on...next day, put patch two on...next day, remove patch one, put patch three on, next day, remove patch two, put patch four on...

Damned patches are tough on skin...after a day, they start to "burn" the skin under them...but I made it. I was nicotine-free for about 15 months after stopping the patches.

I don't recall having more intense Dreams, but my dreams have always been very vivid anyway.
