Have you 'hacked' anything? And if so, what have you manipulated?

I wouldn't call it hacking because it was so freakishly easy, but I got into one of my school's webservers; they weren't very happy. I'm pretty sure they haven't fixed the hole either.

My router and my school's main file server...we were testing firewalls and security, so the IT director (who knows me way too well) said to try out the firewall...found a couple of holes...🙂
 
Back in the 20th century, I found a loophole in a client's software package. I wisely changed it so that naughty phrases would show up unexpectedly. It was not a good career move.

also hacked magnetic laundry tickets in the dorm laundry room the first time I went to college

and a mercedes 300D...hacked it to run off vegetable oil
 
I once wrote a computer virus in my Computer Science 2 class in high school. It was written and compiled in QBasic of all things, on a Mac Classic.

It was pretty cool actually... if you dropped my "virus" program in the same folder as QBasic, it would launch my program instead of QBasic itself. It was a real mean bastard, too... It showed a "Welcome to TurboVirus 1.0!" message when the students opened their program, and "asked" the user if they wanted to delete their program. It didn't matter what they chose, though, since I deleted it anyway 🙂

I think that the teacher was pretty impressed with the program, but gave me detention for it anyway.
 
My espresso machine. Generally espresso machines have thermostats control the heat of the water, but they can only keep the water in a range, say 180F - 230F. That's a wide range when you want to brew at exactly 203F.
So now my machine is controlled by a PID temperature controller and can maintain temp to less than .3 F of what I want 🙂 You only see this kind of stuff on super high end commercial machines and one or two super high end "prosumer" machines.
 
I was going to hack the planet....but I settled for the Gibson. Ooh the crazy things we techno punks do....rollerblading, wearing stupid clothes, name ourselves after some terrible handle.

Modded Xbox, Gamecube with modchips. Installed / replaced 5 LEDs in the gamecube. Hacked PSP and Cellphone, but those are all done through software.

I've "hacked" stuff that people already posted foolproof instructions for. That's about it.
 
I've been working on hacking this chicks chastity belt. So far the thing is quite secure.

Guess this would actually be cracking...


 
I've managed to log into other people's routers because they were too stupid to change the password but I didn't do anything malicious. Just used their internet connection for some free surfing.

I disabled Verizon's locks on transferring pics\audio to and from the phone with Motorola's software (V265).
