I had a scheduled doctor's appointment on Wednesday. With all the uncertainty around vaccines I made this trip all about vaccines. They didn't have the most recent Covid jab so I will get it next month at CVS. They did had the flu vaccine which I got it in my left arm. She also recommended getting the Tdap and Pneumococcal jabs since I'm in my mid 50's. I got the latter two in my right arm and the Pneumococcal seemed really thick and left a small bruise. Both arms are still a bit sore but I didn't really feel like I was sick like when getting a Covid jab. She also called in a prescription for SHINGRIX which I will probably get in December.

Both of those hurt more than a flu or covid shot unfortunately. Of course your response can vary, but that's been mine.

I sleep on my side so I got the flu shot in my non-dominant left arm since I thought it was supposed to hurt the most. I agree with you though and the other two hurt worse. Not bad though and I didn't even need to take an autism pill (hehe).

I've gotten all those but have held off on Covid (flu too, I'm hardly exposed) until next week. 3 months since 1st C infection (i.e. known). IIRC, Shingrix is 2 shots. I don't remember a single inoculation injection that made ME feel sick.

Saw a to-me disgusting commercial (all old people pretending to be jolly together) last night for a new Moderna C shot that's designed for seniors, a smaller dose to help prevent nasty reactions, evidently. Frankly, I figure that's apt to be stupid for me since I don't live in fear of a C shot reaction.

I used to sleep mostly on belly most of my life. One time some years ago I had a nasty tweak in my neck doing that so stopped. Recently I've taken to sleeping on my belly at times every night. Now I can sleep in any position, however only on back if I nap.
 
Got my old fart Flu shot and COVID booster the other day. Think this is my 8th COVID shot.

Got them both in the same arm, as I sleep on the other, zero issues, actually forgot about them till I noticed the band-aids on my arm.
 
I had moderna shot yesterday and it's hitting me like a truck. All my previous shots were Pfizer, and other than the first one, the effects were minimal.

Moderna feels like I'm in the middle of a flu with body aches and weakness.

IIRC, the senior flu shot is a double dose. I think the new Moderna senior covid booster is a lesser dose than normal. I figure I'll try to get the normal covid shot, I never have bad vax reactions. I am going to ask about the Novavax, heard it's better than the mRNA vaxes. Heard my HMO had it some time ago, will see. Figure to get my shots in a week, Nov. 1 or 2.

You're correct, Shingrix is two shots. I also normally like to hold off on the flu and covid shots until November. If I'm going to get vaccines I would also prefer to get a full dose. I have minor reactions that I can easily deal with.

I was also a belly sleeper until I hurt my lower back nearly 7 years ago. The pain moved to my knee that same night. It took me at least 6 months before I felt comfortable sleeping on my side. I wish I could sleep on my back. I'm afraid I would snore and I don't want to disturb my neighbors.

I'm working with a physical therapist (through my HMO) to address some issues including knee. Knee problem affects my sleeping.

Stretches, strengthening stuff. Takes patience and persistence.
 
I finally got around to getting my covid jab. The jab itself didn't hurt but my arm is sore today. It didn't help that I slept on it half the night. I also felt fevered with some chills while in bed. I feel better now but still feel a bit beat up. The CVS here only carries Moderna. I really wanted the new pfizer shot.

On the way to get to get the shot I was told by a family member that bunches of people are dying from the covid vaccines. This country is so effed!

Huh? Sounds like BS to me, sorry...

Now, the bit about the country effed, hard to deny.

This time I went non-mRNA and got Novavax. 2 minutes later got flu shot in other arm.

No pain from either. Got diptheria etc. shot a week ago cause hadn't had it in 10 years. Forgot about that one too, in fact I guess there's a bandaid on my shoulder, gotta check...

There is a rapidly growing Measles outbreak in S. Carolina. Darwin is getting Ws from conquered diseases. Enjoy the immunity amnesia, you fucking morons. Sucks their children have to suffer and die. Many of them because their parents are so loving and overprotective, they end up jumping the shark in their efforts to keep them healthy.
