As both grandsons are full time firefighters/EMT's we often have a scanner on during the day. There is still multiple number of COVID related emergency response EMS calls every day.
Typical is COVID positive, difficulty breathing, low O2 levels, use full PPE.
The other calls that drive me nuts because they are so simple to prevent are people not wearing their seat belts. The scanner picks up the ambulance communicating with the trauma center. Today I heard, 26-year-old female passenger ejected in a roll-over, and listed off a litany of serious injuries from broken femur to possible skull fracture. Driver also unrestrained and ejected was DOA.
You gotta be really tough to be stupid.
