So let me get this straight. You're saying bin Laden might be dead but Bush is hiding it FOR SECURITY REASONS???!

YES! The reason... If america knew OBL was dead, they would let their guard down. That is not what this country needs to do. OBL, dead or alive, is not the end of terrorism. There are many more than him that need to be brought down and brought to justice.

Actually now that the Dub screwed the Pooch by invading Iraq I doubt we will ever let our guard down.

Ah, so you'd prefer we did let our guard down?

After all, the circle here tells us not to be afraid of terrorism. It's not a real threat.

Yep. So now they're trying to say that by telling the world Usama is dead there is a danger that we'll ignore all of the "terrorists" Bush created by invading Iraq.

These people just keep getting more ridiculous by the minute. No wonder they're so easily misled.

BTW, anyone who thinks that Saddam was not a terrorist and a major oppressor of people, not to mention a mass murderer, needs to go back and study for a spell. I'm not a huge death penalty proponent, but that one needs to fry!

Saddam was not a terrorist for the same reason Bush is not a terrorist: The accepted definition of terrorism excludes the actions of governments, government officials, and military groups acting with government authority. As for being an oppressor of people and a mass murderer, the same could be said for every U.S. president since Jimmy Carter. Merely being an oppressor of people and mass murderer does not make you a terrorist, nor is it a crime (if you are acting as a member of a government.)

There is no definition of terrorism that includes Saddam but not George Bush (or for that matter, Bill Clinton.)

As for applying the death penalty to government officials, I think it would get people more active in politics if all politicians were executed as soon as it could be proved that they lied to or attempted to decieve the public, without the possibility of a pardon. Of course then we'd have to have procedures in place to have spontanious elections every few weeks.

I don't know where you're getting your ideas from but they aren't from anything you've read here. Have you considered they might be a product of your confusion?

Thank You! :D

In spite of what you hear from the likes of Fox and Rush, Iraq had absolutely nothing to do with the attack on 9/11. Bush himself was ultimately forced to concede this in one of the 2004 debates. To continue to exploit the 9/11 tragedy for an unrelated political agenda is just as repugnant now as it was three years ago. You should be ashamed of yourself for continuing to parrot this BushCo misdirection.

Ok, I'll give ya that, go on.

This from a supporter of the moron who ignored the real threat and invaded Iraq instead.

Nah, you and your buddy Dave have been spewing venom for months now about how terrorism isn't a real threat and is just a ploy of the Bush adminstration. Don't worry, I wouldn't expect a little troll to recall his own words.

In fact, most of the little circle is more concerned with avian flu than terrorism.

But your posts seem to suggest that this war was so wrong. I don't understand. Your barking up the trees of both bushes, but yet, now that WE as a country are engaged, you say you don't support pulling out of Iraq now.

All that frustration with the emptiness of life and self hate we can dump on some external evil as we war dance around the communal fire. I come alive when it's us against them. Killing them makes me feel I'm killing the evil in me that I hate. Bring um on!

That was beautiful...I think. Now what exactly did you mean, dude? Most of america gets titilated by thinking with their balls. If you don't believe this, just go ask 10 of the 30 people, who are waiting on line at the post office. Their perspectives on life (and everything else), will be quite warpped, compared to most. ;)

Yup, I hear them mumbling, "Where are the WMD that cock suckered me into the war over?".

WMD was the one point we all agreed on would sell the war. What neocon said that?

The administration is out to fix the data on WMD. What memo was that that Blair never refuted?

You think you can hide because you didn't use those words verbatim?

Then again, I'd expect nothing less from a troll.

Wow, this thread went downhill very quickly. Of course, it started off pretty poorly, too. Well, maybe I can help it go down further. Or not.

So, anyway, no I haven't forgotten. People began to see, and sense, and then shut off, before my own eyes. We're screwed. Have a nice day.

Plus, if we constantly stay at war, the government can keep eroding civil liberties all in the guise of fighting terrorism! How convienent.

Do you ever add any content to a discussion? If you do it few and far between. It seems to me all you do is post about your fascination with group masturbation and make personal attacks.

Steve I do believe the war is wrong but I also understand that now that we have destabilized that Iraq/region it would just compound the mistake we made by pulling the troops out. Is that so hard to understand?
