I did when i was young and dumb and before i fully understood the EC. You all should educate yourself fully on the EC and how it works and why it makes voting nationally unnecessary.

Vote NDP. We need to try to get a decent government in office for once.

I voted since I turned 18 (or is 19 the age? I forget). Recently voted in the advance polls.

Not that we have much say in what the government does, but it's better to vote for the lesser of evils than to not vote at all. Not voting is showing defeat.

I'm actually shocked that northern Ontario votes NDP. Must be the manufacturing companies? Rural usually goes blue without hesitation.

Alternative is we switch to electronic voting and post public records of who voted for whom -- people will love that...

Never voted.

Might vote for Sanders when/if given opportunity, not sure how it works in Cali for getting him a nod over that master of deception Hilary.

Voted every election since 1968, it would have been 1966 if they had let me vote at 18 like they do now. I have also have an excellent record of not voting for the winner, 2008 was my only mistake.

One vote does not count but if everyone actually does go out and vote, then they all count together.

Downside is how bad our system is, what usually ends up happening is a vote split then the bad party ends up being in anyway because you only need like 34% for majority.

But we need to be smart about voting, out of NDP and Liberal, vote for whichever one is strongest in your riding.

The main goal of this election should be to get rid of Harper.

....And I'm probably on the no fly list lol.

NDP actually cares about Northern Ontario, the other parties practically don't even know we exist. Downside is that having a NDP MP means he has no power for us being the opposition. He tries his best, but can only do what he can.

I think door to door mail delivery is one of the hot topics here as well, and NDP will make sure it stays. Almost every second house has a "save door to door" sign on their lawn. Most jobs here are also minimum wage and NDP wants to bring that up to $15/hour.

no one here could give 2 shits about door to door mail delivery, in fact this is the first time i've heard it mentioned since the election was called

I have voted every election except one...I had just picked my 3 year old up from preschool and by the time I got to the precinct, there was a line around the building. I wasn't going to subject him (and me) to the wait. Does it do any good? Obviously a single vote never makes a difference but I don't think you have a right to whine about who is in office unless you vote.

[edit]Every election since I was 18, which has been a while. The first presidential vote I cast was for Paul/Marrou.[/edit]

I vote on forum polls, when I vote first and then see others vote the same as me it makes me happy, it's like "oh yes, I broke the ice for everyone who wanted to vote the same as me but wasn't confident enough until I did it I AM THE INSTIGATOR RINGLEADER FOLLOW ME MY MINIONS".
