Have you ever told your boss off?

Just curious, how many people have been in this situation before? Please answer in this fashion:

Raises hand.

I was fed up so it didnt really matter that I was speaking my mind with a finger thrown in for good measure. However, I also wasn't expecting to use that job as a reference either. 😉 The look on his face was worth it I would say.

Honestly I was about to last week sometime but I kinda broke down and just got really emotional. I kinda know already I'm on their bad side because I kept asking people higher and higher about a tech support position I wanted really badly. However, I did not tell her off. When I worked at Comp USA this one manager of mine (many managers in diff departments) kept picking on me for various stupid reasons. I finally tried to talk to another manager and said manager had myself and the other manager together to talk. In the end he still dicked me around so I just told him F YOU I don't need this job and walked out.

i have... was told to leave...

i came in the next day proceeded to do my job and the boss then came and apologized for setting me off...

18 years ago or so, I worked at a large Ford dealership and my manager told me to fill out warranty claims for some vehicles we had in stock and submit them to Ford for complete paint jobs that weren't done and weren't going to be done.

I didn't say no, I just didn't do it. He chewed me out for not committing fraud and I cussed him out, fully expecting to get fired.

I walked out of his office 30 minutes later with a raise. I think he was afraid I'd go to his boss or even to Ford Motor Company, who I was being asked to defraud.

Edit: PS, I quit that job shortly thereafter. My boss the Service Director was a total idiot, but I did learn a hell of a lot in that place.

I have. I had the dumbest boss ever. But that's my own fault for working at burger king.

I don't know how a high school dropout can become a store manager, but it happened. This was the dumbest job I've had to date, and I don't know how I surived a year and 1/2 of it.

How it went down was this. It was winter time, and my boss let her husband drive her car, so she had to either walk to work or get a ride. Since I opened all the time, she wanted me to give her a ride. Fine. I'm a nice guy, I like to help out. Well, after a couple months of her being stupid at work and never once thanking me for the ride, I decided not to give her a ride anymore. I was going out of my way to help her, but she went out of her way to take a crap on my face. I left a note saying, "Don't forget to walk to work, no ride for you." She freaked when she read it! She started yelling at me right in front of the whole store about it, I couldn't believe it. So I told her exactly how I felt about her and how she runs the store. The look on her face was great, she couldn't believe I said it. Nobody liked her, not even her supposed best friend. She then said if I can't stand to work with her she'd just schedule me around her, thus knocking off half of my hours. So I left another note that day, "Don't forget to open the store, no Justin for you" and I never went back. The place preceded to fall apart and the company who owned all the local BKs went bankrupt! And the people cheered!

Oh the stories I have of that place...

When i worked in a porn shop when i was younger, the owner asked me if i had a boyfriend? And i asked in returned 'what the fvck did you ask me?'

Honestly I'm close to a point where I'm just going to go in there like in that one stoner movie and say, I quit, f you, f you, f you, f you, you're cool, f you and f you.

Half Baked was the name of that movie. That movie rocks.

In ten years, I hope to have enough saved to reter (about 40). it won't take much for me to quit. Won't flip out. Actually, due to my companies policies, I already know what it will be.

ME: hand paper work for unpaid leave to supervisor. (Probably 4+ weeks total scattered thoughout hte year and I get 3 weeks paid on top of that).

Supervisor: Hands it back saying she can't approve it.

ME: Hand it back to her and say, "well, I won't be here those weeks, take it for what it's worth"

Never bring it up again and I just won't show up that week. Probably get canned the week I come back but I'll just sit there and laugh at them. I'll end with "Thank You. You need me more than I need you. Enjoy being a slave to this corporation the rest of your life. I'll be golfing."

Walk out without filling out all the paper work they want me to fill out (whcih is procedural).

I have multiple times.

Boss "hey, why don't you run to the store and grab me something to drink"

Me "Since when did I become the office *****"

Also found out he was holding some money back from me on mileage reimbursement, i cussed him out. He ran out of the office, and I came back to a pile of cash on my desk the next morning.

I have his job now, he got "laid off"

I had a bad day at the drive through one day. Had a bad hangover and couldn't count change worth a sh!t. One snotty customer got all uptight and my boss overheard. He cussed me out so I ended up telling him off. Walked out of that job and have not looked back since.

Sorry, TWO LETTERS WERE WRONG. The 'r' shouldn't have been there and Read was mis-spelled. Any other corerctions that need to be made still are good enough that the post is/was understandable.
