When I was around 18 or 19 I was stopped by a cop, my friends & I were WTF we were just driving. I can't remember what my friend did (he may have turned weird in the car or dropped something) the officer pulled his gun.
Turns out there was a robbery with a gun nearby and my car was similar to the one in the robbery.
We all complied with the put your hands out the window order very fast. My friend in the back seat was reaching between the head rests to do so.

My uncle had a gun pointed at his back when he was at an ATM. The dude just took all his cash and ran off.

I also witnessed a drug style bust at a neighbors house when I got home real late at like 2am (pretty sure I posted about it when it happened). Neighbors had their stripper granddaughter living with them and she had her car impounded. It was weird pulling up to my house and seeing guys fully dressed in black swat gear with rifles out.

I stepped out of my apartment door once and a SWAT guy was standing a few feet away with his gun drawn. He put his finger to his lips and I quietly stepped back inside and shut the door. They ended up sticking black electrical tape over my peephole.

Yes. Drove in the wrong neighborhood. Noped the fuck out of there while I heard some "pops" which I was assuming were shots.

I had something similar happen 6 months ago. I was coming home pretty late and I saw two sheriffs walking down the street, I thought that was odd. Parked in my driveway listened to the stern show for a few moments then 3 town cops, 2 state cops and the 2 sheriffs show up and surround my neighbors house. Turns out they were looking for the previous owners step kids. The two step kids had a history of shoplifting and minor drug stuff. I felt bad for my neighbor he recently moved in and is from the middle east. I know if I started up a job in lets say Saudi Arabia and I was woken to a bunch of Saudi cops pounding on my door I'd poop my pants.

Oh, just remembered a story with a guy I lived with back in the day. He got dropped off after a late party... the friends that dropped him off let him out in the street... they drove off and as he was walking up to the front door, a big black van rolled up and stuck an AK out the window at him. They wanted his money and he just said he didn't have any.

He said he could hear them load a round into it, pretty scary. Was living in Detroit so shocker this happened.

Not sure why I forgot this earlier, but when I was 12 or so I worked setting clay pigeons (trap shooting). One day a group of us were standing in a semi circle talking when a regular walks up and apparently forgot to check his shotgun. He was standing maybe 5-6 foot from us with the gun pointed our direction. It goes off and put a hole in the ground about 2 feet in front of me. To me that constitutes a close call as I nearly pissed myself once I realized what had happened when everyone started yelling at him.

If by brandish, you mean in a threatening manner?

I believe "in a threatening manner" is implied in the definition of brandish.

/ˈbrandiSH/: To wave or flourish (something, especially a weapon) as a threat or in anger or excitement.

A police chase ended at my house and I slept through 5-10 guns pointed at my general direction.

Does that count?

At me specifically? Thankfully no. Except for the fake one during a robbery. I was "pretty sure" it was fake. Turns out it was. Still, couple of guys surrounded me and had a gun shoved down their waistband.

Never seen someone brandish one, but in college a few apts down I was hanging out with my dealer playing Playstation and my phone fell out of my pocket. I got up and lifted the cushion to look for my phone and saw an uzi laying under the cushions. He could tell I was a bit uncomfortable after that and rolled us one.

Someone brandished one at me a long time ago. He lifted up his shirt and it was tucked inside the front of his pants. He even had on a bullet proof vest. All that cause I hooked at him for not turning when he missed two opportunities.

Yea I know someone who got shot at and it put a bullet hole in their hoodie, but missed. Thats freaking close. They were trying to hit him for sure.

You'd think they would stop drinking and walking around the city. You'd think wrong. It was like, they tried to steal his phone and he was like Noooo its my phone all drunk and stupid and shit.

Quite a few times; I grew up in not the nicest part of town and ran with some not so scrupulous individuals. Surprised I never saw anyone get shot in malice (friend growing up accidentally shot himself in the leg once). Though, once, I did see a body of a guy that had been stabbed something like 70 times (saw the story on the news about it later that night, so I knew the details).

When I was in college, I saw a guy chase another guy around a car taking shots at him until he ran away. I went to a good school, but it was in a bad neighborhood...

I was young, maybe 5th-6th grade and was taking care of a friends cat while his family was out of town.

I rode my bike over to his house, about two streets away, unlocked the house and mis-typed in the security code.

Not having an alarm system at my parents house I didn't really know what to do, and eventually the roof alarm started going off.

Their neighbor comes over to check it out, sees the open back door and a bike laying up against the house and assumes someone was robbing them.

He walked into the house with a pistol drawn to find me in the kitchen on the phone with the alarm company giving them the 'security word'.

He quickly lowered it and removed the magazine when he saw me.

I still don't know how he equated a kids bike to an armed and dangerous robber, but then again this was in Texas....

Can't beat Texas. LOL I'd acctully love to check out south Texas myself. One for the warmth and two because, well....I'm a staunch conservative and I'd think I'd fit right in. LOL ;)

I was home sick one day when I heard some noise in my condo living room. I surprised 3 non-English speaking people standing there removing my sliding glass door to my patio with my fn57. One jumped over the rail and the leaving the other two were busy trying not to drop the glass door. The HOA failed to notify me that these people were fixing the piss poor installation of the door by the building contractors that caused leaks all around the condo complex.

It was a fun day playing video games and open carrying in my house while they did their work.
