he's not married, but had a 'girlfriend' for the past 30 years. so yeah, theyre commonlaw married, but no kids. i dunno, its his name on the company so he's got a vested interest in the business, obviously. I heard his 'wife' was pissed about xmas day though. haha.

That is why it is called 'work'. It is not called 'happy, happy, fuzzy, joy time'.

I love those lottery winners who say they love their job too much to quit working.

If I won the lottery, I would call and tell them to box up my stuff and send it to me - I will NOT be in.

On second thought, throw the crap out - I can afford to buy new stuff!!!

After a little while, I would probably get some low level job, like at Fry's or VerizonWireless, just to get out of the house and keep up on electronics. I would volunteer at my kids' schools. I would probably do some pro bono work, too (I'm a lawyer).

That all depends on how successful my PAC is.

Sure, there have been times when I've been so excited about a breakthrough I had that I just wanted to keep working on it to completion. Of course if I do work late one day, I can leave early a different day if I want to.

This used to happen to me a lot. I'd stay till 8 most night when I could have left at 5. The fatter paychecks were nice, but there's a line where more money vs. time with my son just doesn't balance out anymore.

I very rarely stay late now.

Yes, at a former job, I loved what I did, and dreaded the end of the business day.

Too much of a time investment, unless I want it to fail. I also would not want to risk the livelihood of any employee on a venture that was just a lark for me.

Even if I had a lot of money, I would not want to throw it away like an idiot (except for the crap in my office at work ;) ).

Yea, when its 100+ and I had roomies that were too cheap to turn on the AC. AC always blasted at work, so I just take off my shoes, lean back and browse atot just like I would at home.

sometimes there's something interesting enough that I'd rather stick around for a while to solve/finish. sometimes.
