Ate breakfast at a table near Whoopi Goldberg and John Travolta in Disneyland. This was back in the later 80s when both were very popular. Personally, not a fan of either, but my wife was pretty excited.
I'm sure they appreciated that. I mean, in general there's really not much to say to celebrities that means anything. When I met one of my favorite all time drummers about 10 years ago I just asked him how his day was going. We were on Maui a few years back and had lunch at a table next to Mick Fleetwood and his grandson. Recognized him immediately, but other than a nod, left them alone to have a nice quiet meal.
Many years ago I was in Hollywood - I ate at a lunch counter with Milla Jovovich on the seat to my left & Mrs Ned on the seat to my right.
