Have you ever cried in front of your SO?

The fiancee and I were discussing how guys never like to show emotions in front of the womens such as sadness or crying and she was having a hard time understanding what the big deal was, but it got me to wondering what everyone else thought.

I myself have a hard to showing that things aren't everything but OK since I feel that I need to be strong for the both of us in tough times.

No male wants to look like a pansy. We even have a hard time reading instructions unless absolutely necessary.

Yes, but only when I was really upset. I try to keep that from happening, just because I don't like to cry in front of others. He's one of the very few people to ever see me cry!

: ) Amanda

I cry all the time in front of him and he gets annoyed with me 😱
i am emotional and he is not so I try to not cry as much as i have in the past.
I know most men do not cry but rather take their anger, hurt, sadnss out in other ways or even just push it deeper down. 🙁

real men don't cry

Everyone cries.

I've never seen my grandfather cry but when I was with him in D.C. a few years back for the WWII memorial dedication I saw him cry.

Everyone has their triggers or limits.

Manly or not.

FWIW I hadn't cried in I don't even know how many years (I'm 26), since I was a kid until a few weeks ago in front of my fiancee (for very personal reasons I won't go into) and I felt like such a useless P.O.S. while doing so.

I didn't cry when my friend died, I didn't cry when my Grandfather passed away, I don't cry for pretty much anything but when it happens every once in a blue moon I feel like so much less of a man for whatever reason.

emotionless FTW!

Yeah, at my grandmother's funeral, and before that, when our dog died. She was a really good dog.
And a little bit at the birth of our kid.

Agreed. What kind of woman couldn't handle sharing emotions with the one they love?

I'm very stoic.
same. friends dying in car accidents, grandfather and uncle passing, carrying my dog of 14 years as they put her to sleep, break-up's... all of these events elicited no visible reaction from me. just stood there with a blank stare on my face. i think all the tears i had or would ever have got spanked out of me when i was a child.

I cried when Gandolf fell in LOTR.

Not really, but there are a few movies that will do it to me. Farenheit 9/11 got to me. Probably some others.

Im saving it up for when I have to cure the avian flu. Cus we all know Chuck ain't gonna get off his ass and do it, damn slacker.

cry when alone, other times it doesn't come out.
