I've never been robbed face to face. Had a car stereo ripped off tho. Idiot forgot the preamp module so the deck he got was useless.

My awesome insurance company repaid me in full, and they serialed the preamps to give me an even better stereo.

I've gotten a head unit (just a tape player, no cd) stolen from my car, along with the roof (Geo Tracker... and the roof was beat up, with duct tape holding part of it together).
It was odd.

I've never had anything personally stolen (knock on wood) But my little bro has had his Civic broken into 4 times...in my parent's driveway!

Some creep took my jacket from the gym in my high school. I was in the gym playing b-ball and just didn't see him take it. I was a freshman. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

ive had my bike stolen while i was living in a house in undergrad....it was during winter break

other people in the house had a lot more stolen...they knew no one was around...my bike had a flat tire so i didnt have it locked up but it was in a back room behind some stuff....well they tried about 3 different tires from locked bikes till they found one that fit my bike and took off with it...i was pissed it was a really nice bike.

i was in a bank robbery once...i was walking out after making a deposit in bmore and 2 guys walk in pulling masks over their head and one ran and jumped the counter while the other stuck a gun in my face...then he told us all to get on the ground...once he left the manager came over and apalogized, but i was basiaclly laughing..(whenever i get in a situation like that i just laugh cause i cant think of what else to do)...but i was trying not to cause there was an old woman and a teller who were crying...
the manager didnt hit the alarm (even though eh could have) till the robbers left. He told me "i have a wife and kids at home, no way im getting myself into a hostage situation"

had to wait and try to describe them to the FBI when they came...as i always thought i was horrible at identifying them...i told them what the guns looked like pretty well though...

When I was in High School, I had a car stereo stolen. A week later I was a gas station and this kid comes up to me asking if I want to by some car stereo's and speakers. Needing one, I went over to his trunk and saw MY stereo sitting there. Needless to say I got mine back with paying ;)

When I was little (grade school age), I took one of my favorite toys (a spaceship) to the playground. I set it on a bench so I could go on the slide. Some big mean kids took it. :(

I had my truck stolen from a church parking lot just outside of DC.. while we were at a wedding.. We had to take Amtrak back home to NYC.. They found the truck three days later, almost completely stripped.. my insurance company did a good job repairing the vehicle...

It sucked, and even to this day, I get a bit of a sinking feeling in my gut coming out of a mall/store until I find my truck..

cheers,

I was surprised by a burglar in my house 3/25/94. He hit me over the head with everything he could pickup in my living room. We fought. At one point I couldn't see him from all the blood in my eyes. I decided that if he wanted to be there that bad that I would just leave. I got the front door open during the fight and exited the house. He then decided he would also leave and jumped my back fence went down a block and stole a car. I don't think I slept for two weeks.

Eh, I think that's larceny.
I only stated the facts, nothing else.
And that particular fact had absolutely nothing to do with the robbery itself, you damn bigot.

Why call him a bigot? He didn't imply anything by saying the guy was black. He was painting a picture for those of us who weren't there... he is NOT a bigot.

You're the one that has the false preconceptions because you connect things in your mind with imaginary links that ARE NOT there.

*sarcasm* I think its sexist he told us it was a boy that robbed him, and i think he is bashing the poor by telling us the guy didnt have a the money to afford a decent weapon and used a sock full of rocks...by the way you sure it wasnt homie the clown from in living color that robbed u *sarcasm*

Been robbed like 4 times since I moved out of my parents house. Never violent, other then the time someone tried to come in my window in the living room and was greeted by my 90-100# Black German Shepard. Neer seen the person but did see the blood on the window seal they left behind while quickly exiting the house.....

Can recall an attempted robbery while I lived at home. Some black dude tried to get in our back door, then decided against it once my little brother shoved a 12 guage shotgun in his face through the window. The dude was definitly on Crack and was looking for an easy score. He went from our house to an old mans house who lived next door and tried to break in there. We called the cops and they caught the guy in the act of breaking out a window to get into the old mans house...... I was around 8 when that happened, centuries ago ;)
