Have you ever agreed with someone just because...

Well, have you ever just gone along with something just because you wanted to avoid the stress and hassle of a confrontation, even though you really felt differently about the issue?

It was a trap, Zim! 😉

Yes. It is impossible to change peoples opinions. Just go to P&N, its filled with people making pointless arguments with each other.

All the time. Usually with the same few people. Some people you just can't win an argument with, whether you are right or not.

All the time.

I don't have enough hours in the day to argue with everyone.

Heh. You disagree with everyone around you. Your life must be...amusing. Have you considered starring in a reality show? You could film your daily interactions with people, then dub your thoughts in later. It would be an instant hit. I guarantee it.

Everyday - I'm married after all. It's so not worth a battle royal over the mundane. Just tonight... I cooked pheasant dinner with all the fixings as a surprise and she calls and says she's going out went with the girls after work...However, I say 'have a great time' even though I felt rejected and wanted a family night.. I didn't even mention dinner but thats all right she'll have a great time without me putting a guilt trip on her and I will too, especially when she comes home and smells aromas throughout house. Everyone is happy.

OTOH - She agrees with me buying toys she has absolutely no use for like boats and guns and time out to use them saying as 'long as you're happy'

Its really called compromise instead of being a doormat. I think all relationships should have an ebb and flow/give and take type of symbiotic. Even boss/employer father/son type.

Sometimes. I usually do it with my mother, because has a very fragile emotion thing going on. She can go from being happy to super angry really fast if I just stick to my point... For instance she told me to take the dogs out one at a time, and I said, "Why not both..?" Eventually after trying to reason with her she flipped out and called me an asshole. Great parenting. 😛
