Have you been vaccinated for the Flu™ recently?

I normally do not like to alter my immune system since doing so in the past has had severe consequences for me (triggered a hyperactive immune response that targeted healthy tissue for 13 years until the tissue was removed), but I was recently vaccinated for the flu.

I took the live nasal variety which turned out to be a mistake because I suffered many flu like symptoms for the following three days. It was miserable. 😳

In order to qualify for a 50% heath premium discount I have to get the stupid vaccination.

I'm under a self-imposed quarantine -- voluntary unemployment -- so I'm good. Don't like putting drugs into my body, even Tylenol, on a regular basis. Only when I'm desperate... or I get a prescription.

Haven't had one since the Army forced me to get one in 85. Haven't died from the flu yet.

Yes, I get the vaccine every year since it's "free" with my insurance. I prefer a shot to spraying stuff up my nose, though.

They're saying the effectiveness of this year's vaccine will be reduced due to mutations or not correctly predicting the most prominent strains this season, sadly.

Get ready for the tards that say no one has ever got the flu from the flu shot/spray.

I get it every year, employer pays for it. I've had the same success rate with or without it, never had the flu.

pretty every year because work had people come in and give it for free

now they aren't

but have an under 2 year and one on way, so got it free at the doctors office while in for one of the wife's 100 appointments

Got the flu shot 6 weeks ago and got a mild cold within days. Then, 3 weeks ago I got a really bad cold and am still recovering. Needed antibiotics to put a dent in it.

Yeah, the CDC admitted that this year's flu shot is pretty ineffective.

You don't get the Flu from it. However, your Body will react as if it were infected by the flu, it just won't be as bad as having the Flu. Vaccines trigger an Immune response, that's the whole point, to trigger the body to immediately attack a Flu Virus the moment it becomes present in the body, so that it can't get established in the first place.

I stopped getting flu shots about 5 or so years ago. I got one for this year though,.. I think it will be a nasty flu season.

Just avoid children and people in contact with children. They are the true evil in the world spreading these plagues.

Indeed. 😀

I tend to not be around children, except around XMas. Last year, I got the Flu just before or after XMas and for 3 days felt as if I was going to die. It was the first flu I had in decades and made me think I should start getting the Shots. That said, here we are and I don't have the Shot. Hopefully those darns kids won't be the death of me! 😀

Got one a couple months ago at Walgreens. They issue you a flu shot card with it to show the date, location & doctor/medical technician, type of shot, etc.
