I have tried to get this across to people for a while now. People think that I am defending the Right when I disagree with them. I am not protecting the Right. I am attempting to explain what I see and why I think its happening.

That is what makes it so hard to have a discussion. People try and cram me in the box of the Right because I disagree with their opinion on what is happening. It is not that I disagree with the idea that the Right has issues, its that I disagree with the person about their opinion. Its as if people think that their opinion is perfect, so that a challenge to it must mean they are on the opposing side.

So what do malevolent state actors do when they want to destabilize a Western Democracy? They study it objectively in ways that the target population basically can't & use the knowledge against them. Find the most divisive fucked up things about that society & amplify them in ways subtle and profound, the same way their own most divisive politicians do. Discredit their democratic institutions & anybody who would uphold them. Spread fear & negativity. Turn them against each other. It's information warfare at the nation state level. It's like foreign intervention in a civil war w/o the guns.

No matter what else we theorize as to the causes of this right wing insurgency that is demonstrably happening & many conservatives deny that it is at all. Denial comes with the propaganda payload.

Yes, there are people that have done and are attempting to do that now. But, there is another group that is far larger and do far more. That group are people that think they are doing something good but are actually doing harm.

But, people like you often see someone like me trying to understand others as a veiled attempt at trolling. I find people and their thoughts not only interesting, but important. I think understanding people will not only be fun, but, it gives me insight in dealing and engaging with people so that I can learn even more. What people like you often do here is to attack anyone that questions someone that is on the correct side of an issue (in your opinion) and accuse that person of having mal intentions.

So, while it is true that the malevolent state actors you talking about do try and learn about society to gain power, there is another side that tries to learn about society to defend it. I know of no other way to learn about society and the people that make it up, than to question and challenge ideas.

So what? There are known malefactors to be dealt with. You merely attempt to dismiss their influence by obfuscating around the motivations of their victims who obviously believed in a whole shitpile of lies disseminated by our own GOP over the last several decades. Lots of people have been inculcated with shitty attitudes about their fellow Americans & the world.

And how do you think I am not helping deal with the malefactors? How am I dismissing their influence by obfuscating?

What I hear is you trying to say to other to not look behind the curtain because you know what the real problem is, and people should be listening to you and not others.

No we didn't.

Tell me if you see the lowest point in this 10 year graph, and then tell me where it was. Then tell me the trend before that. Then tell me what president was in office during that trend.

/snooze, same old dribble - no arguments, just boring self-justification for your own stupidity.

Is this trolling? Or is now racist to do the O-Kay sign?

C5q7imaUwAAUC6p.jpg

Or a better question: On a scale of 10 to 10, how fucking stupid are you?

Someone using something doesn't make it a racist object you insignificant dumb twat.

GUESS WHAT I HEARD? Racist KKK Members use toilet paper! That means we can't use it anymore otherwise... YOU'RE A RACIST! You wouldn't want to be racist, would you?
Really turd, coming from the side who invented the Obama terrorist fist jab

And then there is:

Pepe the Frog creator kills off internet meme co-opted by white supremacists

https://www.theguardian.com/world/2...-internet-meme-co-opted-by-white-supremacists

Linked on that page is the creator's effort to force the Daily Stormer from using the image of Pepe.

https://www.theguardian.com/books/2018/jul/12/pepe-the-frog-daily-stormer-matt-furie

In trumplandia, you're the real racist, anyway, for pointing out that racists abducted Pepe to be their symbol.

He just all that's left of michal1980 types... Nothing but a shit posting, who me?, racist who can't seem to avoid the chum that occasionally gets tossed in the water here.

It's almost comical to watch the same fish come up from their bottom feeding to take the bait and expose their teeth here time and time again...

Almost as if it was scripted...

Typical retard - no retort, just mindless dribble.

You folks claim that because 4chan trolls inadvertently used Pepe in a "racist manner" that means it's now officially a hate symbol - and if you use it then you're a racist.

So is the A-Okay sign now a hate symbol? Is toilet paper a hate symbol? Where's the line in this irrational thinking of yours? Dipshit.

When the man who created Pepe says alt-right racists stole Pepe, I believe him. If you don't believe that, then you apparently haven't noticed who uses Pepe today.

If white power groups use the OK gesture as a signifier, a signaling thing, it too will come to be regarded as racist in some contexts because that's the way they want it. The Nazi salute was adopted from Italy & was once the salute of Roman soldiers.

None of this is any harder than you make it.

I honestly don't understand how you don't understand that pepe was gleefully adopted and rather openly endorsed as an alt-right white supremacy symbol, across many platforms and hate groups. I mean, that is literally what happened. No one is making this up, lol.

This has nothing to do with where it started--you get that, right?

You're basically feigning confusion that people see the swastika as a symbol of hate when it is really a symbol of peace and fertility. No one is buying it, bro.

Actually, the swastika is still widely used for those things by millions. But hey, fuck those guys right. Gotta keep everything black and white.

Please. I didn't say fuck those guys at all. I just pointed out how the Nazis changed the symbolic meaning in the West. Their ideological inheritors use it today because of that association.

So the symbol changes depending on the context of the person(s) using it? So what if a non racist uses a pepe?
