Yea me too. Life would be grand if I could make measurements without doing ridiculous math to get something usable.

What are you talking about? It's a pain to try and convert 15/64" to metric.

That's what pseudo elites call it. Because all the C -pound guys think they are so cool with their half-assed java. F them and their stupid curly brackets. You can shove it up your crescendo as well.

True - this stuff really really gets to them though. I used to live there. They hate it almost as much as the sheep shagging stuff ;)

So does the UK claim Ireland as it's red headed stepchild?

How is C# a "half-assed" Java? It brings many features to the table that aren't included in Java, like delegates (method pointers, essentially), meta-attributes and a far more modern and useful class library.

I'm no MS fan, but C# (or C? I guess) is really pretty good for what it is (i.e., a Java replacement).

# on a telephone or when referring to weight (after a number) = "pound"
# in other places (and before a digit) = "number"

Languages don't get replaced, and C# was never meant as a replacement for Java. It's simply a different language, and in my opinion a much better one. But it's silly to call it a replacement just because it has similar syntax. Did C++ replace C? Did Java replace C++?

This was well established long before your father's inferior semen impregnated your mother.

Perhaps you shouldn't waste your worthless energy on such things that, as they currently stand, have absolutely no impact on anyone's life?

I don't use pounds for weight measurement (I know time zones are confusing for you, but it's the 21st century here).
You metric system is just as arbitrarty as my imperial system. The only diffrence is I can use math and I don't happen to want to change my system so that people can more easily count on their fingers.

I don't think that's why people advocate the metric system. I think it's more because unit conversions don't involve stupid fucking conversion factors. Everything converts nicely, by 10s.

as you said the point of being able to do everything in 10s is so you don't have to use math. I can only suppose that is because can just count on your fingers.

You must not have made it past algebra if you think the metric system is only useful for counting on your hands.
