"Shock and awe" looked pretty damn cool on TV. Say what you want about America but we are really good at blowing shit up.

a run away military budget will do that. We are doomed to repeat it over and over again. Now we are in perpetual war forever. Hows that going to end?

Tons of technology advancements.

We would have never been in either war though if the American people weren't such big oil guzzling whores.

But the general American loves their petroleum based products, so we have to interact with the Middle East and so here we are.

Uncertainty sucks. And information comes at a price. However much the Iraq war cost is the "price" we paid to know for sure Saddam didn't have WMDs. So the question really comes down to was it worth $700 billion to be certain Saddam didn't have WMD (or whatever the $$ is).

Price to kill Saddam and know Iraq has no WMD: $700 billion. Deal or no deal?

 We knew that he didnt have wmds. Your lovers cooked the info to make it look like he did. There was still more diplomacy that could of been done. The Republican party deserves to disappear after that crap.

War isn't "positive". Blowing people up is bad in every capacity. It isn't meant to be GOOD. It's meant as a last resort. Exactly what "positive" do you expect?

Why was killing Saddam important to you?

Obviously no deal knowing now he had no WMD. Back in 2001 if Howie Mandel said $700+ billion deal or no deal...I think the vast majority of Americans would have picked no deal, including myself, especially considering the original estimate was $50 billion.

Depends... Blackwater security made out like bandits, as did a lot of other military contractors... When Uncle Sam starts throwing his money around, there's lots of gravy for the well connected...

Mmmmm... Gravy......

Here we were with the entire world sympathetic to us and that fucking retard walked up to every country and said "your either with us or against us" and cooked the books and intelligence to show them crap. And you bought it hook line and sinker. Sucker.

Many had hoped Iraq would have been the end of the preemptive politics of the war hawks....

Fear monger is back though with a vengeance now so no lessons learned...

Getting rid of a despot is a good thing, but I'm not sure what that really did for the American people other than cost them a lot of money.
