Has anything about our war in Iraq been positive for Americans?

no. It has done nothing for us. Infact I would say the negatives are so great as it broke our back.

Getting rid of Saddam was certainly a positive.

Is it enough to outweigh all the negatives though ? Not even close.

We got cheaper oil of course!

All kidding aside, I can't think of one positive outcome of this war.

Its a positive if you're Xe/Blackwater or Haliburton employee and/or stock holder.

hands down the dumbest thing we ever did. But we knew we would end up doing dumb things with the leadership we had. I still remember seeing bush in front of Crawford Texas with a line of salty old crackers behind him and the media talking about his record fundraising. It was then that I knew we were doomed.

I didn't say removing him from power was all positive. ;)

rrrright. Face it, iraq was a massive mistake. Neocons like spidey, nick and the republican tour de force blindly supporting the worst craptastic clusterfuck in world history should all get on their knees and apologize for trying to think.

Of course, pumping billions of dollars into the pockets of the politically well connected. The beneficiary's of said billions are mostly Americans, so to represent my defense industry oligarch homies, I say, YES, YES, a thousand times, YES!

Edit - I'm very disappointed that with all the ordinance we've worked to develop, we still haven't perfected the Stealth Banana that we could guide into hungry peoples' mouths with precision accuracy. The late great Bill Hicks was talking about this almost 20 years ago! Come on people.

Getting rid of Saddam, a positive, getting rid of GWB&co priceless.

But we all have to remember, 1/4 century before they hung Saddam up by the neck until dead, Saddam was our guy in the mid-east. And now all we have left is some old stock photo's of Rumsfeld shaking Saddam's hand as he said, how can we help you buy poison gas and other WMD?

Well dead man tell no tales, but I suspect some US skulduggery was going on then.

I guess I could argue my brother wouldn't of met and married his wife if it wasn't for the Iraq war, but I can't really speak for him about it being positive.
