Has anyone tried uTorrent yet? Awesome, Fast, Full-featured BitTorrent client **Now with DHT support**

I just made the switch from Azereus to this client. It's clean, fast and small. Just how I like it. And it is is FULL FEATURED!!!

Azereus is a bloated POS. I had that for a while, but just couldn't stand it anymore, was using upwards of 100MB of ram on big transfers.

Using ABC now, and it works very nicely, hardly notice it in the background even if i'm playing HL2 or something.

I may take a look at this if it's a lot better than ABC.

I've got 4 downloads going (~800MB total) and it's only using 4.1MB of memory.

Considering how small it is and the fact that it is trying to reduce bloat, probably not. Check out their forums, maybe the author can respond

Azureus IS a resource hog no matter how the fanboys put it. You have to be blind to ignore the massive mem consumption and random CPU spikes..

I'm just glad there are better alternatives around like this and BitComet

I like it. Better than ABC and Java-based bloated Azureus. Conforms to Windows common controls interface so it looks just like my Windows theme. Gotta admit you don't have that happen too much. Azureus kept coming up with some stupid WAN disconnection message when there was nothing wrong at all with my connection. I hope this doesn't do the same.

It is pretty nice. Mem usage hasnt gone higher than 3MB compared to Az which would jump to 250MB at times. Nice find, thanks.

I put up with Azureus because it has the features I need mainly speed scheduling.

In 99% of the cases the limiting factor of any transfer will be your network speeds.

All torrents should be interchangable, there's no real state kept on the disk so worst case scenario it has to checksum all of the data you already have.

It used 10MB compared to 40MB for bit tornado, but it also was considerably slower.

Hmm...still needs some work, but I like where they are going with it.

2.5mb...5 torrents. This fits my bill. Very simplistic looking which I like. So far it has replaced BitComet for me. Thanks for the link OP.
