My wife went to a doctor today to have an ingrown toe nail removed.
I was there, I translated to English for her back and forth, saw her get injections, saw her bleed no problems.
After the doc was done, he put on betadine solution (brown colored) and then I felt I couldn't breathe, I asked for water, went out of the room to get some water, drank a sip and then I was out..
For 15 minutes, maybe 25 minutes.. according to my wife. They called 911 and the ambulance came. They asked me if I was ok, if I wanted to go to the hospital. I declined to go to the hospital but the EMT told me eat something, drink some orange juice, my blood pressure was really low.
My wife thinks I fainted at the sight of blood but I was fine with blood.. however betadine made me feel like I couldn't breathe and very hot and then I was out.
Any suggestions as to what the cause might be for this if not betadine or is this a common occurance?
