First when I brought up the 10" netbook we were talking about completely daily tasks. he said the 10" screen wasn't big enough because there was 3" more real estate on the MBP. I found a 15.6" notebook that was 399.99 that would compete as well. Unless you just want to keep expounding your ignorance over what has already been said in this thread and are going to make me continually explain my posts because you refuse to read.

Whether or not it was about daily tasks, I've never heard of anyone comparing a netbook to a laptop and then trying to justify that the laptop has a $$$ premium markup. You and another poster clung onto that netbook argument with a death grip. Your stance would of been more convincing if you didn't try to argue that point.

If user's priority is battery life, then I could see how that person would choose a less powerful machine to get the most battery life. However this still doesn't in any way validate a MBP having a $700 markup because a netbook is $300.

No it definately wasn't that, it was a delivery guy at my old work that dropped a box full of stuff, that included. He didn't know what was in it.

I've not actually met someone who after owning a Mac Pro decided to downgrade to a PC hmmm :biggrin:

Also a workstation needs more ram. We have 128GB in a pair and frequently hit the page file which is on an array of SAS SSDs but still far slower than RAM. The next step is 512GB - 1TB RAM. At least RAM is getting cheaper.

No you can't do that. The page file contrary to what many people believe is required. Creating a ram disk and putting it on there is like rolling down the window and taking a leak while zipping down the highway too! :biggrin:
