Looks like i'll be getting to Vegas a day earlier then the rest of my co-workers (we're going for a convention) and I won't be able to check into my hotel room until the next day after 3pm...
I don't really want to stay up that entire night (i'll be there 10pm the day before) and the entire next day of the convention, then probably some partying afterwards, etc, etc, -- i'll end up staying up for more then 48 hours I assume...
I can "handle it", but why bother when a hostel is only $20 for the night and a $10 cab ride down the strip...
So, Anyway, just wondering what other people's experiences have been with hostels. Has anyone stayed at one in Vegas?
I don't think i'd have any problem other then the fact that i'd be sleeping in a room full of strangers, which doesn't bother me too much, however, the fact that my luggage (probably only 1 of those bags with wheels and a small duffle bag) may not be safe -- I doubt someone goes to a hostel to steal, but ya never know... I may have some value items with me. I wonder how good their "security" is, as the two i'm looking at say they have security lockers -- you think a few bags of luggage would fit in something described simply as a "security locker" -- i'm thinking one of those orange lockers w/ the quarter slot and key at bus stations and amusement parks, heh.
