You didn't find it odd that such an established/involved/Elite member like Hawk (I believe he was in the 10K-20K post range) would just disappear off of the face of the earth? Yes, it was never confirmed that he died in 9/11, but it's very likely that he died somehow around 9/11. A classy older guy who was helping everyone so much wouldn't pull a stunt like that, it would be the equivalent to Rossman doing something like that.
