It's a good thing I read this thread because now I don't have to waste my money and buy these books and contribute to the author's LARGE CASH INFLUX.

Is there any explanation on how the Death Eaters know when the Order of the Phoenix move HP at the beginning of the book?
I remember something about Snape told them but isnt Snape already out of the Order of the Phoenix by then?

It's explained when Harry is viewing Snape's memories in the pensive. Dumbledore told Snape to tell Voldemort and the death eaters when they were moving Harry.

Well not really...He found out, from my understanding, because he used the imperius curse on Mundungus, this is when he also told Mundungus to tell the Order to use decoys.

not imperius, confounding 😉

"You will have to give Voldemort the correct date of Harry's departure from his aunt and uncle's.....However you must plant the idea of decoys; that I think, ought to ensure Harry's Safety. Try confunding Mundungus Fletcher...." (US pg 688)

In HBP, Tom Riddle references wanting to split his soul into seven pieces, and Dumbledore later confirms that Riddle did such by saying "The seventh part, no matter how maimed, still resides within Voldemort's body".

Cup.
Ring.
Locket.
Diary.
Diadem.
Harry.
Nagini.
Voldemort.

Eight? Hmmm.

Harry had a little fragment of Voldemort in him.

There are seven horcruxes, and then the bit of soul left in Voldemort.

Voldemort intended to split his soul into 7 peices, so he made 6 horcruxes. However, he didn't know that another horcrux was accidently made, which was, as we all know, in Harry. So that makes eight instead of his intended seven.

Voldemort technically isn't a horcrux, so there are still only 7.

I meant eight peices of soul; I never said eight horcruces.

If you look I said he made six horcruxes, and then accidentally made one out of Harry. So of course I know there are seven.

Well that's the 6th spoiler you've posted without warning...I hope you get vacationed.

You go into a thread with a title Harry Potter Spoilers and yet you bitch?!?!?

Anywho... I can't remember who is who so the spoilers have no ill effect upon me.

What's the deal with the baby at King's Cross? Is that the part of Harry that was in Voldemort (his blood) or the part of Voldemort that was in Harry? Or was it all the fragments of Voldemort's soul that Harry and friends had already destroyed? Seriously, who was that baby?

I thought that to be the part of Voldemort that was in Harry that was killed.

That is the reason Harry warned Voldemort to repent or have remorse before he died or he would end up a quivering lump in 'Heaven' or where ever that was.

Yeah - that's exactly what it was. You'll notice right after Harry "wakes up" from the Avada Kedavra curse, Voldemort is getting up too, with help from Bellatrix. It would seem he passed out at the same time Harry was "killed" and failed to realize another bit of his soul had been destroyed.

I read the book, but I didnt get the part about Voldemort taking Harry's blood and how that affected the curse.

Basically, can someone explain how harry survived, and why Voldemort went unconscious also?

Harry survived because Voldemort, in using his blood to resurrect a body for himself, bound Harry to life at least as long as Voldemort lived. I don't have my book in front of me, but Dumbledore explains it as the fact that Lily's protection is still there, and although Voldemort can touch him now, he can't kill him. All Voldemort did was destroy the Horcrux that was inside Harry.

I'm thinking he went unconscious because he had just killed a piece of his own soul.

I just gotta say that Snape has to be one of my favorite characters in the book. To think he lived all of Harry's life dedicated to protecting him out of love for his Lilly.

Nice twist, and I was actually sad after he died.

How about this for a spoiler....there will be an 8th HP book.

No there won't.

You willing to put money on it 🙂

There will be an 8th book, but it'll be an encyclopedia of sorts. It's not like an actual Harry Potter book.

Googling the answer before putting the money up isn't fair 🙁
