Right now: Mat Sci 102: Crystallography and Bonding - heavy use of Schrodinger's dreaded equation, PDE up the ass, etc.

All time: Honors Quantum here at Berkeley. It ripped me several new ones.

Finance. scraped by with a C as an undergrad, which wasn't good enough for me to waive it at the graduate level. Dropped it the first time round as a grad student after scoring the lowest score on the first exam (i kid you not...my score was the leftmost number on the bell curve) and flunked it the second time round.

For me, my hardest class was always english. I didn't subscribe to the "it's a classic because everyone says it is and I must enjoy it because it's a classic" method of taking the course. In collage when it came time to review Hamlet I basically broke out into why I don't think Shakespeare was that great (w/ supporting facts and arguments). got an A, second best paper I've ever written.

Best was a 14 page essay (trimmed down from the rough draft's 21 to fit the 7-12 page limit) on the history of the Corvette, focusing on the engine.

Genetics 800. There are only 9 of us in the class. The exam is scheduled for another 2 weeks but the prof gave us the test yesterday. After the initial shock wore off he told us that in two weeks we would see the exact same test; 2 essay questions. He told us we had better know them inside and out! Oh well. :frown:

For me it would have to be either philosophy or AP English. My philosophy teacher uses the weirdest grading system I have ever heard of (I still don't completely understand it). AP English is just as hard, but for different reasons. It seems like I have to do a lot more work in AP English to keep an A than in any other class.

um, water makes the bits of a basket more pliable...

=)

btw, i had to mention that i am taking advanced calc and abstract algebra at the same time.

i don't know what abstract means, and advanced is blatant mislabeling.
