I'm taking the most horrible class this quarter: History of Mathematics.

It's not like I don't dislike both math and history on their own, now they have to combine them into this uber-bastard of a course.

<< Diff eq's is THE reason I'm not in engineering anymore. Other than that class I probably could have done alright. >>

Until you got to the courses that require diffeq; electomagnetic field theory, systems and controls, etc.

After this semester, I will have 8 credit hours between me and a BSEE. It's been a long row to hoe.

I almost forgot ---> two port networks :disgust:

LOL Honor chem... AP Chem is a real Chem... I'm in High School and I'd say 75% of my teacher's carry a doctors degree...... It is a magnet school though.

My hardest class last semester had to be electromagnetic fields and waves. ugh, the nightmares that are coming back. damn that Maxwell guy. :p

When I go back to school in January (on co-op right now :)), I am going to have a microprocessor design class where we learn how to do address decoding and basic I/O stuff. Gonna be sweet. Finally getting to the good stuff. That emags stuff sucks. I am glad I am in Comp. Eng. I also got a C++ data structures class coming up, should be fun.

My coolest class so far has to be the Digital Logic design class + lab. We designed the logic behind a fully functional hex calc. And's, or's, xor's, add, subt, push, pop, blah blah. All that good stuff. The coolest part is seeing the design actually work.

phew. a little off the subject now. I feel better.

This semister, 420 Optics. But its an easy semister. Hardest class of all time, Calc III. Had the hardest prof in the dept and he admitted he didn't like teaching the class. For all those taking AP classes. They are easy compared to real college classes. They don't expect you to fully understand EVERYTHING. But it is a great way to start your path with all those classes. Definitly calc and physics.

HMmm Hard class.. Most of them seem to be in hte math department.

My hardest classes are most likley Advanced Mechanistic Organic Synthesis or we like to call it Physicsal Orgo or just P orgo for short.

Its Thermo and Quantum and Bond Theory. Have you ever wondered why a bond exists and the reasons for their existance in chemical terms. This class will tell ya in excruciating detail. We've only covered teh basics. Back once gain to Isomerism

Another hard class of mine is Chemistry Of inorganic compounds. Also hard but its on the smae lvel as P orgo.

Oh if you want stories of teachers who do not want to teach class.

FIRST day of class of an Introductory Chemistry Course the teacher comes in and says that he does not want to each the class. He goes on and is the worse teacher imaginable. Unprepared and the like. Thankfully i only heard the horror stories.. GO AP CHEM!

werk,

I love Analysis of Systems. All of the database stuff we learn I've already experienced with HotDeaIFinder.com, so I have a pretty good comprehension of most of it. The problem is the DAMNED EXAMS!!! AHHHHHHH!

Not to worry; it's my hardest and favorite class.

Anthro 319 - Skeletal Biology.

It's the hardest class because there's so much stuff to remember. We pretty much have to know every hole, bump and scratch on every bone of the human body.
But it's also a lot of fun.

the path to hell passes through 2 quarters of organic chemistry. i've heard that physical chemistry was the hardest class in college but i don't have to take that beast so for me it's ochem.

My chem teacher last year barely spoke English, so we all spent the entire class trying to decode/learn Pakistani...

Thank god the text book was in English.:D

hardest class? RocSci 101... :)

meanwhile, a boring class with lots of reading and Analyse and writing would be the hardest for me.

I had a philiosophy class, its bascially an ethic arguement class, no one is right or wrong and you need to write papers to prove both side right and wrong.

and AP Euro is dead boring, straightup memorization, so do all History classes, if you actually enjoy history then you may learn something, but if you don't, its a hellish nitemare.

i would have to go with dirf on organic chem...didn't matter whether i studied or didn't, the best i could get was a c.
i do also feel your pain emperor nero - i'm in latin 3 right now and its my hardest class of the semester - i haven't taken latin in 2 years though, so that could be alot of my problem:)
other than those, i'd have to say vertebrate physiology, our prof hadn't taught undergrad in over 15 years, he'd been a med school director and professor, doctorate proffessor and advisor and some super researcher, but i think he forgot how to teach us who hadn't had much physiology background, there were 3 a's and 4 b's in a class of 80, ugh
