Im just going to say thanks to everyone who has posted. Sometimes its good to just "talk". I actually only have one real freind and we're on totally different scheduals untill the weekend. I wouldnt want to talk to family yet, they would just freak out.

Im actually going to go to sleep now. Ive been up since 10:00 yesterday, got home from work at 12:00 and have been on the internet all night. I gotta go back to work in a few hours and it'd probably do me good to get some rest.

Ouch... you need to respond when they write you up for something that's untrue. If you're actually doing "less work" than before because you spend so much time fixing other peoples shoddy work hopefully you have some logs that you can show to HR/your bosses boss or a lawyer. It sounds like they're trying to fire you with cause when there really isn't any and the sooner you straighten out the record, the better (it's already way past time for you to act).

Seriously. For a retard, you have better writing than 99% of the people I know in real life, and among the better here. Sounds like Aspergers? Think I'm borderline too, just very highly functional.

If you don't get a lawyer, bring a tape recorder. Get a really small, cheap MP3 player to record all your conversations. Start collecting dirt and if you have e-mails, print them out.

The law isn't absolute bullshit. It is "fair" and they won't just take the word of 3 idiots at face value.

At the very least, start looking for a new job. I don't care if the bosses wife gives free blowjobs as bonuses, that bullshit isn't worth it.

In a case like this the lawyer would take a percentage of what you are awarded.

THIS! THIS! THIS!

OP, you don't need any money up front. There are specialists (lawyers) in this field who do this for a living, and wouldn't take your case unless they knew they had a good chance of winning.

I know you don't want to go to a lawyer because it feels like yet another complication in your already over-complicated and emotionally over-burdened life, BUT IT WON'T BE!

The lawyer will handle ALL of this, and he's already used to working with and for people JUST LIKE YOU!

It's best to fine a specialist lawyer like this through a social services advocacy group like. You have probably already dealt with one in the past. Go back to them, now!!

Cliffs:

It appears you have a good case.

You don't need any money upfront to get a lawyer who can and will help you out!

This lawyer will do the work for you. In the end, this will not complicate your life, it will simplify and improve it.

Please go find a lawyer through a social services agency NOW, not later.

Im having a hard time taking this seriously, Im getting nailed for harassment at work. Im gonna post a big ass rant about my basic history there, you can skip to the end if youd like.

So I have a terrible "boss" and even worse co-worker...My pay is laughable, to the point its not even worth discussing (I make less now than most are started at). But Im a good (or perhaps just stupid) employee and try hard every day. I dont complain, I work safe, and I work smart. In a workplace that averages 1 death every seven years (actually somebody just died last thursday) I think Ive done damn good not getting a single injury in the 5+ years Ive been there. Not even a single sick day.

My "boss" has serious anger management issues and is constantly swearing and throwing a fit like a kid, slaming things and hitting stuff and Ive seen him throw things (he actually broke somebody elses stuff once and blamed it on me). Needless to say, thats dangerous in our line of work. Nobody gives a shit...its like a running joke (nobody will admit the physical violence, just the bad language). He loves to get in my face and interrupt my work, belittle me and make it hard to explain what/why Im doing things.

Your boss is an idiot. That you constantly have new colleagues explains enough.

I actually am retarded (seriously), they knew it when I started (I had government assistance getting the job and doing the interview)...

You write you are retarded yet you figure out on your own how to work with i assume technical equipment you have not worked with before. i take your word for it you deliver a better end product then your trained new colleagues. I think your future does not have to be bad if you do not want it to be.

Almost forgot :
Seek a better job, when you are happy at your new job, your old work is going to notice that you no longer work there because of the decline of the quality of the end product. Instant gratification, knowing that...

"You are seriously retarded? How so? You write fairly well for a retard... ?"

Im retarded not stupid, lol...I have a very difficult time in social situations and large groups. I cant feel emotions and cant seem to understand certain "basic knowledge". I have a hard time with change, and simply cant deal with quick or constant changes. I have a slow reaction, cant look people in the eye in many situations (unless I know them really well), can have a hard time talking to people or explaining things. Its like my brain cant think fast enough and I spew gibberish for a bit. I have a tendancy to just accept stuff whether its what I wanted or not (part of that I cant care thing and its to akward for me to speak up and say something is wrong). Sometimes I just get overloaded and have to go sit alone in the dark for a few hours. Stuff like that.

Holy crap! Then I'm retarded too!!!!!

I was going to say become familiar with your company's grievance policies then run it up the chain. This shows that you tried to show the company that there was an issue with your boss and that the company failed in treating this as it should have. Then lawyer up.

If the OP truly meets the definitions of "retarded," or "mentally disabled," or "mentally challenged," or what the fuck ever the current "politically correct" term happens to be, there are programs that can help him fight this. Contact the Washington State ARC or one of the other agencies that specialize in working with "developmentally disabled" retards like you...:p

Did I miss somewhere that your Company doesn't have an HR Dept?
I know a few people here where I work who have gone to HR for similar grievances. They seem to get resolved very quickly. I have seen a senior manager fired for doing the same things as your "Boss" was doing.
HR ... use it!

there was someone here who once said they couldnt say asperger's without thinking of ass burgers. i want to thank that asshole, because since that comment i call it ass burgers too.

OP, fuck them. get a better job. i'd be happier working at the mall then with a boss like that.

ive said that a few times here, hehe. hope i was the one that put that nugget in your head!

my best friends son is autistic. while he is, for the most part, socially inept, he isnt an idiot. the boy can pick a lock like a pro, he keeps finding the parts we remove and hooking the printer back up so he can print coloring book pages off the internet, he has disassembled and then reassembled pretty much everything in the house.

im with the others, get that agency that placed you involved, a lawyer and get it taken care of.

OP,

I'm going to combine my thoughts with those of Perk, who I think hit it right on the head. I say the very next thing you should do is ask your family & friends for immediate help in contacting a special case lawyer, which is primarily who would take your case.

Take the direction from the lawyer in what to do next. This is where I suggest you spend the rest of the energy you have & make sure you get plenty of rest.

By the way, you aren't retarded, you have special needs & that's perfectly ok. Don't be so hard on yourself.

You issues sound very much like my sister. My parents looked into groups that help them deal with it and find them a job of some kind as well has trying to help them learn how to support themselves. Unfortunately, they never actually put her into any of them. She is very spoiled and will likely require someone looking after her until she dies. But during this time I met several people like her. One of her best friend has the same condition. She functions on her own today because she was actually put into one of those programs. Look for help again for a new job NOW. You are working with assholes, you need to find a better place. Look for help, there should be some organization that can help you.

I can't say for sure, but I don't think any real charges can filed by them without the police being involved. So I think they're just bullying you. As others have said, they're probably trying to get you to quit or trying to build a false record to keep from paying unemployment. If you find help to look for another job, fill them in on what is going on at your current job. Most states have worker rights laws, they're probably braking them. I don't suppose the company has a good HR department by chance? This may only be helpful if it is a large company, but even then, they're probably only going to look out for the companies best interest. Good luck.

HR is for The Company. They do not represent an employee's best interests.

People with Aspergers syndrome are generally just socially functional and independant autistic people. You probably are inept or maybe just a little awkward in social situations.

That you are having trouble playing politics at work while having Aspergers is not all that surprising. At your next employer, make sure they understand your condition, and if they fail to, figure out how to resolve it.

The fishing is great at June Lake, CA. You can pull in your limit of one to five pounders just about any day with rainbow bait on a treble hook. I prefer an ultra light rig using 3 pound test with a 1 pound leader.
