harassing a kid

Kid came into pizza shop Friday night... had on some designer shirt.
I was a little bored at the time..

"Hi Aero, what's up?"
"my name isn't aero."
"oh, but your shirt says aero."
"that's a company"
"Wow, you work for that company?"
"No"
"Oh, they pay you to advertise?"
"No."
"wait a second, don't tell me you're doing it for free."
"they're not paying me."
"Let me get this straight. You mean to tell me that you paid extra for that shirt, so that you could advertise for them? And, you're trying to convince your classmates that they need to buy those shirts or else you're better than them??"
"uhhhh"

What was most remarkable and amusing about this, rather than pointing out how stupid the whole designer clothing "fad" has been and always will be, is that the expression on the kids face was one of sudden realization that his world had just been turned upside down. 🙂 I wish I had a picture of his face with that expression while he contemplated the whole discussion I had with him.

I read this - as I wear a shirt that says "Nortons Lumber Yard - Good Wood Since 1977"

lololol

No, I'd never take it so far as to hurt a kid's feelings... it was just that he had that look of genuine reflection on his face..
While I really couldn't have cared less what brand of clothing he wore, somehow I convinced, or came close to convincing him, that his clothing selection was stupid. Sort of like in Dogma when one of the angels convinces a nun that there isn't a God. (although, yes, I do have some clothing with brand names. I've got a nice green t-shirt that says AMD-64. Some company gave me that shirt so that I would advertise for them by wearing it. (I didn't pay for the shirt.) And, I've got a nice Yoo-Hoo t-shirt. Since that company sent me the shirt, I actually tried and liked their product. I now drink it regularly (about once a month) as well as wear their shirt (about once every other month.) I hope they're getting their advertising money out of the shirt. A&F? Gap? Aero? etc. Nope, I don't own any of those.

i hate when older relatives so that, its not like you don't realise it says a brand name on it...

eh i pay 30 bux for a rocawear or w/e tshirt and 60$ for my jeans what do you care what i wear? dont be mad at me cause you pay 2$ a shirt

do you wear your boxers in a manner that makes them easily viewable by the general public?

Not really, no. However, I am still buying them as opposed to plain boxers which do not have anything on them.
